This is the tale of three Yakuza gamblers who traveled Japan during the samurai era living by their wits and sword skills. Min Gyu is a warm-hearted and cheerful animal-loving veterinarian. However, the animals in his care have many problems and diseases. This causes trouble with his girlfriend, Wha Young. She gets really frustrated by the constant irregularities of his life and starts dating other men.

Eun Hae is a cheerful and proud photographer who has been going out for quite a long time with a libertarian artist, Jin Woo. But Jin Woo starts to date the museum curator Wha Young and Eun Hae becomes so angry that she decides to contact Wha Young's ex-boyfriend, Min Gyu, suggesting revenge. However, Min Gyu and Eun Hae begin to feel more interested in each other than in the process of revenge.

Rumor has it that as soon as a person encounters a "ghost leading the way", people will have a blank brain and lose consciousness, but their feet will keep walking. This is what people call being led by a ghost. People who encounter "ghosts lead the way" will eventually be taken to some terrible places- graves, underworld and more.

That happens to Song Wan Rong, which, after losing memory, for some reason, is led by the ghosts to the cemetery. What is the reason for this?

On his wedding anniversary, Han Chul-min (Jang Hyuk) drives into his apartment complex parking lot and sees a large crowd gathered by the entryway into his apartment. He enters holding a bouquet of flowers for his wife, instead he finds police officers scattered about collecting evidence. In his bedroom there is a large pool of blood dripping onto the floor from the bed, and his wife is nowhere to be seen. Han is then handcuffed, arrested and taken into police custody for her murder. Prosecutor Ahn Min-ho (Park Hee-soon) takes charge of prosecuting the Han murder case. He has little doubt in the guilt of Chul-min. Confirming his suspicions that Han was arrested as the prime suspect in a serial murder case, but later released on insufficient evidence. Jang Ho-won (Sung Dong-il), an investigator, brings the case of Han to defense lawyer Kang Sung-hee (Ha Jung-woo). He informs Kang that the alleged murder victim's body was never discovered, the police have yet to find any direct evidence connecting Han to the murder of his wife and his arrest is based on circumstantial evidence. Han, who works at a film laboratory, has no fingerprints as they are erased from the strong chemicals he handles everyday. Convinced that Han is not guilty, Kang takes the case and applies in court for a jury trial and goes through a series of legal clashes against rival prosecutor Ahn. The case gets even more complex as details about the mysterious life of Han's wife are unveiled. 

For no apparent reason, a mute young woman assaults a youth who delivers water on his bicycle, injuring him and ruining his bike. Surprisingly, she asks him to feed her fish while she is in custody. Her tiny apartment, he discovers, is a shrine to his favorite escape, the movies. He finds her diary - a screenplay of her life built around scenes from favorite films - and it sets off his imagination. Maybe they have more in common than a love of the movies.

Based on book series by Ernest Prakasa (himself), it tells how Ernest have to deal with his life as a Chinese-born, how he often got bullied in school, and how he decided to find a local girl to marry.
