Rikako of the twelfth grade repeated play at night with her close Miki every day. One day she meets (and becomes infatuated with) Tomoaki Fujii, who's rumoured to be the Don Juan of her school and even impregnated a girl before getting an abortion in his father's hospital. This doesn't bother Rikako one bit, as she too sleeps around. But Tomoaki, knowing Rikako's true intentions, shoves her aside. Rikako later finds out that Tomoaki is quitting school to move to Okinawa, and she finally attempts to understand him. From then on, they form a close bond.

Saori has always disliked her gay father and has lived her life denying his existence. One rainy day she receives a visit at work from a young man called Haruhiko. He tells her that her father is dying of cancer and that the nursing home he operates is in danger of closing. After Kasturi gives birth to yet another still-born child, her mother-in-law, with the assistance of a nurse, switches the dead child with one of two twins that impoverished Indira has just given birth to. The latter names her child Narsingh, who grows up to be a singer/dancer, and falls in love with Anju, the daughter of a DGP. While the second child is brought up by upper caste, Kasturi and Govind, performs poojas at a variety of weddings and funerals, and is in love with Chandrakala. Chaos will enter their lives when Narsingh will be abducted by a gangster, Baba Bhai, and held until and unless his biological father, an Indian Army Major, reveals a secret.

Sang-hyun and Dong-hyun were born as conjoined twins with two heads sharing one body.
