An old saying has it that it takes the first generation to create the business and the second one to destroy it. When the Tanaka Family's father, a career private eye, passes away, eldest daughter and mother figure Sayuri has to decide whether or not to continue the family detective business. A story of a blended family follows Liu Bi Yun and Jiang Tian Huai who became husband and wife in their second marriage. Each with children of their own, they not only face outside challenges in their career but also have to handle family members with very different personalities. They return to the city after ten years of separation. Liu Bi Yun's stepdaughter Jiang Mei and grandma are the instigators of many conflicts within the family but Liu Bi Yun never takes it to heart as she tries to be a good mother and a good influence.

Although Jiang Lin and Li Bing are not biological brothers, they are always ready to help each other through difficulties. Jiang Xue is someone who's been hurt due to relationship problems but she manages to move on through the help of her family. Jiang Sen married early in the countryside and his wife Wang Gai Feng habitually disagrees with her mother-in-law.

The mother and father of the family pour their love and devotion to ensure that their children can grow happily. As they enter the old age, the two look back to the past with no regrets. To be born as their sons and daughters is a fortunate thing.

The series is a lighthearted legal series that is more down-to-earth. The cases are not too heavy and will be closer to reality, having an inspirational message.

However, due to the mysterious magical marble—Abyss—Go Se Yeon is revived, but now in a totally different appearance. Go Se Yeon now possesses a common appearance based off of how “good” her spirit was in her previous life.

Cha Min was the highly intelligent heir to Korea’s top cosmetics company but was also a smart, humble, and a kind-hearted man. Although he has both the brains and an astounding amount of wealth, he considers himself unattractive and is insecure about his looks. Like Go Se Yeon, Cha Min gets into an accident and dies.
