An Fei is a scholar who harbors a crush on a young and accomplished scientist named Mo Liang. She dreams of becoming a top researcher in the country in order to protect the ocean. One day, she encounters Ye Hai, a young man who seems to bring her bad luck. Ye Hai not only opposed the project that An Fei has been working on but he also makes up stories about her by claiming that she's his wife. Finding Ye Hai arrogant and weird, An Fei tries to avoid him at all costs until she realizes that he may have been right along. As she gets to know him, memories of a past relationship begin to surface just like the legendary story of Poseidon and Amphitrite.

Shintaro is a detective at the Kichijoji police station in Tokyo, Japan. Shintaro works with Yu Nagamine. In his personal life, Shintaro is married to Kaori and has three children. His wife is currently hospitalized. In the past, Shintaro's work as a detective was exemplary, but after his wife became ill his focus shifted to taking care of his family. Arrest ratings at his police station dropped because of this. Shintaro tries his best to balance work with taking care of his family, but it is difficult. Karoi's mother, Yoshie, then offers to take care of the kids.

In the 21st century, regarded as the century of terror, Japan's myth of infallibility is greatly threatened. With domestic and foreign terrorists active behind the scenes, and pleasure-seeking criminals with no political ideology able to easily obtain information from the internet, an era in which terrorism can be carried out has gradually dawned. The role played by the SP has become crucial; bodyguards who protect VIP by becoming "moving shields," locating blind spots beforehand, as well as anticipating unforeseen circumstances.

The SP has just been increased on an experimental basis. Inoue Kaoru is one of the recruits to be assigned to this role. Inoue possess special abilities, and is an entirely new type of SP. He will boldly take on the fight against terrorism, while his colleagues regard his abilities with skepticism.
