He Chu Feng and Luo Bin are the two oddball operators of Monster Vintage, a notable antique store. They live in the same house together, with only a large cat for company, and have become accustomed to each other’s bizarre quirks, although their respective love lives are nothing to write home about! He Chu Feng is a man of mystery, and is the store’s locksmith extraordinaire – able to open any lock imaginable on a range of antique pieces. And Luo Bin is the master appraiser of the duo – a man capable of assessing an antique’s worth in mere seconds.

But their lives are about to turn upside down when two women enter the fray. First comes a trainee lawyer named Sui Yi. The duo agrees to let them live with her, forcing them into an unfamiliar routine of housework – but also sparking a somewhat unconventional fledgling romance between the positive and personable Sui Yi and the ever-enigmatic He Chu Feng. Then, an ace auctioneer named Fang Qi comes to seek help from the housemates. She has suffered an injury and needs assistance – and it’s love at first sight for Luo Bin the moment he sets eyes on her. Can romance really blow a fresh wind through this antiques emporium?

The defeated Kao Jia Yue suddenly comes back home after many years. Many people feel awkward about his return, and hope he will leave soon. His nephew Cheng Yu is the only exception, as he finds Jia Yue different from other adults. Jia Yue realizes everyone, including himself, is struggling in life with so many challenges. At the end of the 1950s, the student of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute Wen Yi Qiu (Yin Tao) falls in love with the Soviet announcer Wei Ka and marries him in Beijing. Shortly after, however, the Soviet Union decides to withdraw its specialists stationed in Beijing and Wei Ka is forced to return to his home country. Thereupon, Yi Qiu leaves for the frontier town Hehei, where she starts working as anannouncer, only to be nearer to her husband. Later on, Wei Ka gets a post in Blagoveshchensk, the city at the other side of the frontier. The two find comfort in listening to each other’s broadcast attentively, while hoping for the Chinese-Soviet relationship to get better.

Within two years Muanchanok (Nok) studied abroad, her parents got divorced. Her father remarried to a former beauty queen who had the same age as hers, while her mother also flirted with several younger men. The effects of a broken family made her become jealous, ill-tempered and obsessive into getting her parents back together.

Lakkhanai (Nai), a distant relative of Nok's mother, who grew up along with her, is a very capable man who was enjoying a top position in her father's company. He also started living at her house, which made her more furious and she wanted to eliminate him from her family.

When Nok and Nai were forced to get married, she planned and played the game of love to hurt him. But Nai's feelings for her were sincere all along.

He then became interested in ballet. His mother was a ballet dancer, but she died from a disease when Lee Chae Rok was young. His father later went bankrupt. Lee Chae Rok learned that he has a talent for ballet, but, after pursuing ballet, he barely has contact with his father and he has a hard time supporting himself financially. Going through hard times, his desire for ballet fades away. At this time, Sim Deok Chool appears in front of him.
