Six females from various fields join this show inspired by the ecosystem of bees. From an actress to former and currently active athletes and a cheerleader, the six females become the Queen Bees. Each of the six has to form her own team of three males. The 18 males try to appeal to the Queen Bees to be selected, while the Queen Bees are careful about who will be good for their teams to win. For the prize money of 100,000 dollars, every contestant fights with each other intensely from the start!

After School Club features various musical guests of South Korea and the series is directed at an international audience so the principal language is English with Korean subtitles and translations produced on air. It allows international fans of K-pop music to interact directly with the live shows through social media: fans can join in on the live broadcasts through video chats in Google Hangouts, send in tweets to the show's official Twitter account, and are also able to share comments, ask questions, and request music videos on the show's official Facebook account.

A representative for KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank World Tour” remarked, “As this is our first time returning to Europe since ‘Music Bank in Paris’ back in 2012, we are currently preparing a [concert] chock-full of amazing performances and a spectacular lineup in order to return [K-pop] fans’ love.
