A martial arts and Chinese medicine expert, Midget leads the famous 'Ngor Mei' clan in China. One day some men from Hong Kong arrive to seek medical advice. One of them is Fei Fu ¡V from one of the richest families in Hong Kong. Unaware of his background, Midget faithfully restores Fei Fu to perfect health. However, Fei Fu never had a chance to see Midget without bruises and cuts, accumulated from martial arts tournaments, on her face. Despite the pair¡¦s burgeoning friendship, Fei Fu must return home, leaving Midget to realize she¡¦s fallen in love with him. She takes the plunge and decides to follow him to Hong Kong ¡V but can she find her true love?

Ma and Guiying lead lives that are similarly sheltered and difficult. Noticing that Nam-eun is more distressed over the death of her pet cat than that of her father, Hyeong-man decides to look after her once in a while. Nam-eun finds her father's silly and unmarried friend quite interesting. Using Hyeong-man's dirty laundry as an excuse, Nam-eun frequently visits Hyeong-man, gradually expressing her feelings for him. Although awkward and surprised at first, Hyeong-man is curious about his feelings for his friend's daughter and soon Hyeong-man and Nam-eun begin to go on a series of unusual dates.

What does it take to form a women’s Olympic national ice hockey team? A few middle-aged women, a middle school student, and maybe even a North Korean defector? Kang Dae Woong is tasked with pulling together a women’s national ice hockey team in the hopes representing South Korea in the Winter Olympics. What he is able to assemble is a hodgepodge group of women -- Lee Ji Won, Park Chae Kyung, Go Young Ja, Jo Mi Ran, Kim Ga Yeon, and Shin So Hyun -- who can barely skate, let alone strike a hockey puck. Can this lackluster group form a team to even dream of making it to the Olympics?

After a sting operation goes bad, gunfire erupts on the streets of Hong Kong as police chase a group of suspects across town. Unfortunately, the melee is caught on camera by the media and when the criminals humiliate a police officer live on national television and escape, the public outrage towards the police department is mutinous. The leader of the sting operation, Inspector Cheung (Nick Cheung, Election), furious from losing the criminals, disobeys orders from his commanding officer and stays hot on the heels of the bandits. Chased into a residential apartment block, the villains take a family hostage and bunker down to plan their next move. Cheung tries to roust the criminals out from within, but is unable to single-handedly defuse the situation. Meanwhile, the police swarm around the building and set up a command center outside, led by ambitious and media-savvy Commissioner Rebecca Fong (Kelly Chen, Infernal Affairs), who seems more concerned about the swarm of video cameras and photographers than the criminals inside the building. Embarrassed by their earlier defeat, the police begin fighting a public relations war, anxious to repair their tattered image in the public eye. In order to portray the department in a favorable, decisive light, they begin feeding "punched-up" video clips to the media, carefully edited to show the police coming out on top in the conflict with the criminals, as they keep the press updated on every move they make. Unfortunately for the police, the bad guys need only to turn on their television and are immediately brought up to speed on every detail about the police activity, keeping one step ahead of the police at all times…

In 1997 (the not-to-distant future, in their eyes), Tokyo has been torn apart by gang violence, and two organizations in particular, the Japanese nationalist Kamikaze and the Chinese-immigrant led Baihubang, are embroiled in a bitter feud resulting from decades-long racial tensions. As things boil over into all-out war, two women fall into forbidden love, and a lesbian Romeo & Juliet love affair--of sorts--begins.
