Koichi Miyazawa (Koji Yakusho) runs a small, but longstanding company which makes tabi (traditional Japanese socks). He is the CEO of the fourth generation company with about 20 employees. Due to a decrease of demand for tabi, the company is struggling to keep afloat. Koichi Miyazawa thinks about launching a new product line. The new product is running shoes. For the company's surival, Koichi Miyazawa begins to develop running shoes using their accumulated knowledge for making tabi.

Arnav, a wealthy business tycoon, decides to ruin Khushi's reputation after he thinks she sabotaged one of his events. Meanwhile, Khushi quietly suffers for the crimes she didn't commit.

The drama is about the small happiness that the people of today enjoy, following Jin Soo, who works to overcome everyday stressors with 12 small sources of happiness, and his romance with a woman, Jung Soo, who appears to him during his time of modest happiness

At home, he is a nurturing dad and devoted husband but, at work, he is a cold-blooded mobster who metes out punishment and engages in bloody turf battles. Detective Otonashi Tsukiko (Nagasawa Masami), who belongs to the First Investigative Division's Tannai team led by Tannai Ichio (Takenaka Naoto), is a geek with Toshi Densetsu mania. She claims that she became a detective to establish proof of Toshi Densetsu and dreams of officially announcing some day that Toshi Densetsu is involved in a case she investigated. When cases happen, she will always consider its associations with the manga. Because of that, the better part of the formal investigation would appear to be wrong. She feigns illness to slip out from work and stealthily proceed with her own investigation based on her theory that Toshi Densetsu is the cause. This angers Tannai every time.
