The God of War, Wen Ye, died in battle on the eve of his wedding, and a nationwide mourning was held. The bride-to-be was the legitimate daughter of the Shen family. Thus, she found her estranged illegitimate daughter, Shen Ke Yi, who had been living in seclusion, and forced her to take her daughter's place in marriage. Due to a mistaken war report, Wen Ye returned victorious, and Shen Ke Yi, who had married into the Wang family, became the true princess. However, she and the prince developed a complex and spirited relationship, and during their journey, they ignited the sparks of love. After facing numerous challenges, they eventually understood the true essence of love and protection. In the end, they chose to be together, not seeking wealth and prosperity but only desiring a few moments of leisure that belonged to the two of them alone.

Story takes time period in between 1898 (24th year of Guangxu) and 1908 (34th year of Guangxu), the late reign of the Qing dynasty. Skillful physician To Chung (Roger Kwok) is named the new Imperial Palace Physician when he successfully heals Empress Dowager Chee-hei (Helena Law) from her illness. To Chung eventually grows close to the Gwong-seoi Emperor (Pierre Ngo) who is under house arrest at the Forbidden City and striped of his powers after angering Dowager Chee-hei due to losing the First Sino-Japanese War and rebelling against her authority. To Chung also heals Gwong-seoi Emperor from his illness and helps the young emperor with his relationship with Consort Tsan (Rebecca Zhu). However how great he is as a physician to the imperial family, To Chung cannot heal his crippled wife Hung Bak-hap (JJ Jia). Desperate to heal his wife he seeks out the services of bone-setter Fuk Ling (Tavia Yeung). Fuk Ling's treatments helps Bak-hap relieve some of her pain. Impress by Fuk Ling, To Chung refers her to the Forbidden City where she becomes Empress Dowager Chee-hei personal bone-setter. To Chung and Fuk Ling's friendship eventually turns romantic but his loyalty to his wife Bak-hap prevents him from further pursuing his romance interest in Fuk Ling. Fuk Ling however has ulterior motives with getting close to the imperial family as she has been tasked to kill the Gwong-seoi Emperor.

After Sugihara Oto’s mother passed away when she was young, she was raised by adoptive parents in the Hokkaido countryside. Although she gave up having dreams, she lives cheerfully and bravely. He dreams that he will be able to live with his grandfather some day, but reality is harsh. By coincidence, Oto heads to Tokyo too. This is the story of love and growth of six young people from the rural areas who gather in Tokyo.

The story follows the growth of Yamazaki Otome, a young girl lacking experience in love, who utilizes her hobby of making sweets to work at Patisserie MON, a French pastry shop.

Hau Tak Sze has recently inherited his late father's social club, besides managing the club he also works full-time as a court mediator. He meets Mo Sui Yee, who is in the process of divorcing her cheating ex-husband, during one of his cases. Sui Yee moves into her aunt Lam Ah Lui's home during her divorce, she soon finds out that her ex-husband's lover also lives in the same building as her aunt. Since Tak Sze visits the building frequently Sui Yee thinks both him and her ex-husband's lover are in cohorts together to try to gain her property from her divorce. Mo Sui Yee gets a job at Au Yeung Ai's law office, Tak Sze also visits the law office frequently because he is best friends with Yeung Ai. Through her boss and new job, Sui Yee learns that Tak Sze is truly a nice guy who works hard at his job.
