Madoka Akagi grew up in a port town in the Kanto prefecture of Japan. After graduating university, she moved to work at ADventure, a small advertising agency in Tokyo. She came to Tokyo in search of her dreams but reality sets in and every day is not like the world she imagined, especially when she has to do a presentation that decides the company's fate. However, she soon finds a package from her mother which includes a Game Boy Pocket and Pokémon Red.

She decides to start playing Pokémon Red for the first time in 20 years. How will her adventure go?

Kim Je Hyuk, a famous baseball player, is convicted after using excessive force while chasing a man trying to sexually assault his sister. Shockingly to him and the rest of the nation, he is sentenced to a year in prison. There he meets his childhood friend and fellow baseball player, Lee Joon Ho, who gave up on baseball after a car accident, but now is a prison guard and one of Je Hyuk's biggest fans. The drama revolves around Je Hyuk's time in prison, as well as prisoners he meets and events that take place there.

Taishin has moved to Tokyo from his hometown of Fukuoka in order to reunite with Takara, a stranger who had consoled him in his grief the year prior. However, despite finally getting a chance to express his gratitude to Takara at college, he is given the cold shoulder! But Taishin, undeterred, decides to pursue Takara anyway, and Takara finds himself becoming more and more enchanted by Taishin’s straightforward and earnest gaze.
