Junichi is a scout recruiting girls for work in night clubs; but in contrast to what he does, he is actually a sentimental person at heart. Nanami, who is a music teacher at a junior high school, wishes that something would happen to change the course of her ordinary life. Being from a high-class family and having committed to an arranged marriage with a government official, she and the street smart Junichi are from two different worlds. Their initial meetings always ended in disdain for the other, but when Junichi helps her find some sheets of music precious to her, she begins to think that he could change her life. Although it goes against everything that her upbringing has taught her, Nanami decides to give him a chance.

The story follows a mysterious chef and his late night restaurant which open from midnight to dawn. There are no fixed items on his menu, but the Master will take orders from any customer and cook up whatever they ask for. As the Master cooks, his patrons tell him their life stories.

Shanai Renai Aruaru Kiyomi (Meisa Kuroki) is determined to avoid any office romances due to a painful past experience. Kenichi (Yasushi Fuchikami) arrives as a new member of the staff. Shingeru Mama Renai Aruaru Since Hitoe (Nozomi Sasaki) divorced, she has raised her 5-year-old son alone. She is going through a difficult time making a living. Hitoe finally begins work as a dental assistant. One day, a patient, Kuroda (Yudai Chiba), invites her to lunch. Dosei Renai Aruaru Mari (Erika Toda) and Shinta (Tsuyoshi Muro) begin to live together. They experience happy days initially, but their relationship begins to suffer.

The storyline begins in the near future, as referenced from the mid-1960s. Sinister aliens and giant monsters constantly threaten civilization during this period. The only Earth organization equipped to handle these disasters is the Science Special Search Party, or SSSP, a special worldwide police force equipped with high-tech weapons and vehicles, as well as extensive scientific and engineering facilities; this organization is called the Science Patrol. The branch of the Science Patrol that is focused on in the series is located in Tokyo, Japan. Led by Captain "Cap" Toshio Muramatsu, the Science Patrol is always ready to protect the Earth from rampaging monsters, but sometimes it finds itself outclassed. When the situation becomes desperate, Shin Hayata, the Patrol's most capable member, holds the key to salvation in the form of the "Beta Capsule," which, when activated, allows him to transform secretly into the super-humanoid-powered giant from space, who becomes known to the people of Earth as Ultraman.

A beauty expert has time travelled to ancient times to become Luo Mingwan, a princess of the Great Ning Dynasty.

Due to a plane crash, a modern-day girl who is an expert in skincare that comes from a family that dabbles in traditional Chinese medicine finds that she has time travelled. Taking on the identity of Luo Mingwan, she meets the eldest prince Zhang Lanying and becomes the princess consort.

It is said that Zheng Lanying is tyrannical, but Luo Mingwan discovers that there is simply no truth to the rumors. Through their interactions, she also discovers Zheng Lanying's "secret". Luo Mingwan once again picks up her interests and sets off a beauty trend among the nobles.

Kishi Minetaro is a skilled and serious-minded plastic surgeon. He looks down on doctors earning money through cosmetic surgeries as well as on women asking for such medical procedures. However, having to repay his father's debt, Minetaro chooses lucrative work at a clinic specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery.

The clinic is full of beautiful women, including the director Yukawa Mari, who is well known for her skills in breast reconstruction, a highly-trusted doctor Ichii Mutsumi, and a cheerful nurse Kishitani Aoi. But most of them have already had some work done to their faces, and they strongly believe that “faces are for lives.”

Various types of patients visit this clinic. As Minetaro needs to keep this job to continue paying off the debt, he has no choice but to respond to the patients' selfish requests, such as, “I need my previous face back because my husband suspects that I may cheat on him now that I have a surgically-altered, young-looking face,” or “I want to change my face and look different from my twin sister.” But their wishes makes him wonder...If they change their appearances, will their futures become brighter? Will their worries disappear?

“Beauty” is the keyword set in this human drama, depicting the true feelings of women through the eyes of a surgeon who isn't attuned to reading a woman's mind.

A Young monk Sanzo Hoshi sets out for India, never forgetting to keep a "believing heart" as he travels together with Son Goku (monkey), Sagojo (water monster) and Chohakkai (Pig), those spirits who are always causing problems. What adventures are awaiting our band of travellers on their way, and will friendship and love prevail in the end?
