Asagao continues her work as a forensic scientist at a university forensic medicine class in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her father Taira and her husband Shinya are busy with their work as detectives. Her daughter Tsugumi insists on having a younger sibling. Dong-Joo (Lee Dong-Geon) and Ki-Tae (Seong-su Kim) are both abandoned by parents and brought up in an orphanage as best friends. The friendship of the 3 people starts as Ji-Soo (Kim Ha-Neul) is transferred to Dong-Joo’s and Ki-Tae’s school. Ji-Soo envies the strong friendship between Dong-Joo and Ki-Tae, but starts to grow special feelings towards Dong-ju. One day Dong-ju jumps into the water to find Ji-Soo’s ocarina and he becomes missing since. Ji-Soo and Ki-Tae believes that he is dead. Meanwhile, a Japanese couple discovers Dong-Ju, and takes him back to Japan with them. Ki-Tae naturally takes over Dong-Joo’s place and he and Ji-Soo become lovers. However after twelve years, Dong-Joo comes back as a Japanese gentleman and he manages to find Ki-Tae and Ji-Soo. He is first happy to find his past memories, but as his feelings for Ji-Soo comes back, the friendship between Dong-Joo and Ki-Tae starts to drift apart.

The national university entrance examination is coming up and the students of Class ¾, which Onizuka Eikichi (AKIRA) is in charge of, enter exam mode. Onizuka who conducts career counselling for the students with assistant form teacher Fuyutsuki Azusa (Takimoto Miori), questions their mentality of aiming for a good university in order to get into a good company. One day, a heated exchange breaks out between the students who have divided into the job-hunters and the exam takers. Azusa breaks it up but gets told by the students, “After all a teacher goes to a suitable university and ends up in the secure teaching profession.” This hits the mark and there is nothing that she can say in return. Two days before the national university entrance examination, a workshop with alumni who were accepted into elite universities is held at Meishu Academy. While watching over the students, Onizuka gets up on the stage and exhorts them that their own worth will not be determined by the name of the university, but by a life lived without regrets. However, he gets criticised by them. On the other hand, several of the students’ parents are gathered at Kuse Toshiaki’s (Hasegawa Tomoharu) place. Kuse proclaims himself an “enrolment consultant” who gets students in through the back door in what is described as “special priority admission”. The parents are worried about the future of their children. On the day before the exam, Onizuka asks the academy’s principal Sakurai Ryoko (Kuroki Hitomi) if it is that important to look at reality. She says it is important but reveals that what is most important is the conviction to pursue it. This is what Onizuka taught her. Hearing this, Onizuka makes some decision...

Revolves around two detectives as they investigate and solve together brutal crimes that take place in Ikebukuro. Ryuichi Kanzaki is a detective. He is guided by strong morals and he wants to believe in the good aspects of people. He is assigned to work in the criminal investigation division at the Ikebukuro Police Station. During his first day of work there, he is unable to find his assigned partner, veteran detective Kenji Kuroki. His partner, Kenji Kuroki, actually took leave from the station without giving them notice. The chief of the criminal investigation division orders Ryuichi Kanzaki to find Kenji Kuroki. There is also a secret between Ryuichi Kanzaki and Kenji Kuroki. They are actually stepbrothers.

Maria is in need of money. Because her day-time job doesn’t pay enough, she works at night at a cabaret. She needs the money so that she can pay for her sister, Nana’s eyes operation. When both Maria and Nana were younger, Maria burned down the home, causing her sister’s blindness and killing their father (mother survived.) Shiro is a famous concert pianist. However, he isn’t happy with his marriage or his life in general. Maria and Shiro are united through a traffic accident, causing Shiro to be hospitalized. Faking amnesia and his identity, he stays at Maria’s place and eventually starts to work at the cabaret as a piano player. As you will find out later on, life was not meant for Maria and Shiro to find one another.
