Reprising his fan-favorite role of Taoist exorcist Mo Siu Fong, Lam Ching Ying returned to lead a star-studded cast that includes Kiki Sheung, Frankie Lam, Mang Hoi, Eric Wan, Kristy Yang, Ching Tung, Berg Ng, Lo Lieh, and child star Cheng Pak Lam. The series also counts blockbuster director Benny Chan (Connected) among the crew. ATV originally planned for a third series, but Lam unfortunately passed away in 1997 and the plan did not materialize.
