This is a story about an ordinary family struggling to become residents of Chungdam Dong, a rich neighborhood in Korea equivalent to Beverly Hills in LA. Kim Hye Ja is a housewife living in the countryside who has never lived in Seoul before. One day, she finds out that a friend from her hometown who owned a comic shop in Chungdam Dong died by accident. She decides to move into the deceased friend’s apartment on the store's second floor with her entire family, finally fulfilling her dream of becoming a coveted resident of Chungdam Dong. However, their new home is an old, broken down apartment which is nothing like the luxurious living place common in their former neighborhood. In fact, nothing has changed except for her address. Now, she has to live amongst the Chungdam Dong residents.
