“Startup” is set in South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley, called Sandbox, and tells the story of people in the world of startup companies.

Lastly, CEO Won In Jae has everything society respects: the educational background, beautiful appearance, and money. She considers her background as a second generation chaebol a weakness and does everything she can to create success on her own and be acknowledged for her skills. However, she ends up being used and thrown away by her father, and in order to stop being a disposable piece on her father’s chess board, she throws herself into a startup.

Liao Yong Qi (Dou Hua Mei), an advertising firm AE (Accounting Executive), is born in Xi Luo Qi Kan (a place renowned for different sects of kung fu).

Her stubborn father (Li Wang Luo) always wishes for her to go back to her hometown to inherit the martial arts centre, and to promote the "Golden Eagle Fist".

The story starts in 1937 when the war against the Japanese aggression broke. It revolves around Zhang Han Shi/Zhang Song Ling who is a simple man born into a family of scholars. On the eve of his wedding, his wife and family were murdered but he luckily survived. He then embarked in his quest for revenge joining the communist party and the mounting anti-Japanese resistance.
