Talay is a talented new graduate. He receives a confirmation for his new job as a colorist and is ecstatic. Unfortunately, on a beach trip with his friends, Talay drowns. He wakes up in an alternate universe, inside someone else’s body. He discovers that the person is named Tess. Tess is a troublesome spoiled rich kid. In the hospital, Talay meets another nurse from his universe, who has transmigrated there as well. She explains the existence of the two parallel universes and stresses the need to find the “Portkey”. She also reiterates that there might be some deep connection between Talay and the key. As Talay reaches out to Tess’s friends, he comes across a primary school friend, Tun. On meeting Tun, Talay notices some oddities and realizes that the original Tun’s soul has transmigrated as well. Talay confesses to the new guy that he came from the other universe as well. As they both work together to find their port keys, their bond strengthens. But what will happen when they return to their own universe? Will they meet again and recognize each other?

In 1865, Hanpeita Takechi (Ryo Nishikido) belongs to political activist group Shishi. He is then imprisoned and ordered to kill himself for disrespecting the Lord. When Hanpeita Takechi is about to carry out the suicide, he suddenly finds himself asleep in the middle of a country road. He is now in present day Japan, but he has no idea how he got here.

Hanpeita Takechi wants to go back, but he is stuck in the remote rural area. Meanwhile, villagers are embarrassed by Hanpeita’s appearance. Haruka Saeki (Manami Higa) works at a public office there and she hears about Hanpeita Takechi. Haruka Saeki finds him at the supermarket.

The tale of former teacher and student, Oh Eun Soo and Kim Bit Na, who meet again years later after they married brothers, Yoon Soo Ho and Yoon Soo Hyun. They even become stepsisters after remarriage of their parents.

Makimura Kimiko, freelance journalist and city-girl extraordinaire, marries into a traditional Japanese family. Most overbearing of the Yamamoto Family members is Isojiro's mother, Shimako, who seems to think Kimiko is the perfect wife whose knowledge of the traditional Japanese arts knows no bounds. Kimiko on the other hand is sloppy, a bad cook unless it happens to be microwavable, and couldn't tell a shamisen from a bagpipe if her life depended on it. Bombarded by customs, Kimiko's only desire is to never step foot in the Main House again. But with the interference of her husband, Isojiro, who can't seem to say no to his mother, Kimiko finds herself back in a place she calls Hell and smack in the midst of some crazy tradition her in-laws want her to participate in.
