The story of two women whose fate is switched as they exchange bodies, and a man who holds the key to that fate.

Zhang Hai Feng quits his job as a police officer after the death of his daughter, Duo Duo. However one day a serial murder case reveals new-found evidence about the the accident that led to Duo Duo's death. In order to find out the truth, Zhang Hai Feng starts to pursue the serial murderer and in the process, dies together with him. When he wakes up, he find himself back in the past; one day before his death occurs. He decides to make use of the wormhole to save Duo Duo from her death. Eventually, he starts to unravel deeply hidden secrets of the people around him, and the web of conspiracy that was planted 20 years ago.

Kurumi Ichiki (Ayame Gouriki) is 25-years-old. When she was young, she went to France. Now, after she came back to Japan, she works as a waitress at high end traditional restaurant (ryotei). She is talented with cooking. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ichiro Ato (Fumiyo Kohinata) and Executive Secretary of Prime Minister Seiji Koga (Kenichi Takito) decide to hire a cook for the prime minister's residence for the first time in 70 years. Due to an incident, Seiji meets Kurumi Ichiki and discovers that she has a natural talent for cooking. Seiji asks her to be a cook for the Prime Minister. After a hesitation, Kurumi Ichiki says yes. She begins work at the prime minister's residence, but she struggles in a hostile environment with the chef and his subordinates at the restaurant of the prime minister's official residence.

Nishina, Maya, Shiro, and Aoi are four good friends in their second year of high school with good looks but disappointing personalities. The four who decided that they will never fall in love, formed their own club, known as the "Muda-bu" (Useless Club), which focuses on researching silly themes and uploading them on social media. One day, they decided to do an experiment from a manga that says, "If you run with a piece of bread in your mouth and bump into someone, you will fall in love". While trying to conduct the experiment, they accidentally bumped into someone while having a piece of bread in the mouth.
