Astronaut Takamura Soichi is spending a year in space in order to collect data samples that will enable the human race to live comfortably in space. As someone who loathes people and avoids troublesome human relationships, he is happy living alone with the AI Yuri some 400,000 km from earth. Then one day, Soichi has an interview with his ex-girlfriend Ayuhara Sakiko through satellite connection. Their reunion on a computer screen eventually turns into quarrel but it makes him rediscover his feelings. Then Yuri realises that her feelings for Soichi are close to the human love and begins to question the meaning of her own existence. An unexpected love triangle develops between the astronaut, his ex-girlfriend on earth and the AI! In addition, all sorts of problems happen in outer space…

Takako Meguro's dream has always been to get married and quit her job. But one day, she finds herself working as a teacher at a night school. At first, she is unmotivated and doesn't take her work seriously. But she soon finds out that work at night school is tougher than she thought. There's a high-school dropout, a businessman, a cabaret girl, and many others—every student is either strange or extraordinary in one way or another. Half of the students are older than Takako, and she discovers that one of the students was her classmate in elementary school.

Now that she sleeps during the day and works at night, Takako is unable to attend drinking parties to meet guys. She starts to think that's how life is, and she should go with the flow. Set in Shanghai's 1930's, Jiang Xin (Tiffany Tang) is a young lady who was originally an heir to a rich family, is in search to find her family. Shoko would like Wakaba to take care of the girl. Wakaba immediately introduces herself, but Hinata’s attitude is brusque. Because Wakaba is her 26th caregiver, she does not see a need to remember her name because she will be replaced soon. Hearing this, Wakaba decides to deal with Hinata on equal terms. Even though she detests children, she declares that she definitely will follow through with what she has accepted. Hinata is convinced, and promises to do what she is able to. After that, the two of them head to the nursery school that Hinata attends. On the way there, Wakaba’s gaze is rooted to a spot because of Yamada Sota, whom she had mistaken for a molester in the train a few days ago. A panicky Sota intervenes. Then Hanamura’s daughter Urara praises Sota as a role model for ‘ikumen’ (men who proactively and voluntarily take care of their children). Wakaba scoffs that Japan’s economy would fail if the country were full of these unproductive men. Sota and the Hanamuras are struck dumb, while Wakaba smiles sweetly and says she is neither interested nor concerned about ‘ikumen’ … …

The drama is about the assassination attempts on Emperor Jeong Jo's life during the 8 day period when he left the palace for a ceremony to honor his father who was killed by his grandfather.
