An in depth look at the making of Kurosawa's films.

The story follows the main character Bond as he joins the SDU (Special Duties Unit of the Royal Hong Kong Police) after jewel thieves kill his partner during a heist. He is put through rigorous training as a recruit by the unit leader Stone. After training is completed, the unit sets to capture the same jewel thieves as they are still a lingering problem. They devise a plan to hide in unmarked vans in strategic locations near jewelry stores in hopes of catching the thieves in the act. The thieves escape after a foiled robbery, and the ensuing investigation and pursuit lead to the climactic showdown between them and SDU.

A love story spanning 5 years between a man and a woman. A 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman both miss the last train at Meidaimae Station in Tokyo and meet there. Their relationship develops romantically.

The once dignified male protagonist is now portrayed as a wretched swindler, the demure widow as a lustful woman with an insatiable appetite for her newfound prey. Hae Joo (Kim Won Hee) is a simple-minded, young mother who makes a living by renting out a room to passing travelers and selling flowers. Her undeniable beauty makes her the object of desire amongst the many bachelors in their small rural village. But the lonely widow has her heart set on her new visitor from Seoul, tall and good-looking veterinarian Duk Geun (Jung Jun Ho). Never the shy type, Hae Joo literally throws herself on him, much to dismay of her daughter and longtime admirer Sung Chil. For Duk Geun, a swindler in pursuit of money, Hae Joo's overtness is a nuisance - until he discovers her one million-dollar bank account. All of a sudden, there is a swift turn in the tide and Duk Geun is the one trying to win Hae Joo's heart using all of his known techniques. But, watch out, this naive-looking widow is not to be underestimated. This is an update of Shin Sang-ok's remarkable 1961 film of the same title.

Up-tight salaryman Asakura (Shinichi Tsutsumi) goes to the doctor about his severe tension headaches, but gets car-jacked by bank robbers, who order him to pursue one of the gang that has betrayed them. Unfortunately, Asakura never breaks the rules, won't drive over the speed limit, or run a red light, even if threatened. The frustrated gang stops at a café to make plans, but word is out about their "successful" robbery, and "karmic fate" begins to unfold.

China at the beginning of the eighties: sixteen-year-old Xiao-Yun lives in a small town on the river. When her teacher finds out she is pregnant, she and her boyfriend Wang-Feng are expelled from school. Wang-Feng leaves the town after persuading his sister to look after Yun and then have the baby given up for adoption. The film then returns to Yun’s story ten years after she has given birth and been told that the baby has died. She is still living in her native town and working as a singer. She is having an affair with a married man, but her only real companion is young Xiao-Yong, an inquisitive and impish little boy. He soon becomes her devoted friend, servant and “little brother”. When after a while Yun finds out who Xiao-Yong is, she has to make an agonising decision... Realistic in style, the film is not just a story of the friendship between a grown woman and a child, but an exploration of the influence of family and environment on the development of a young life.

Saya (Yui Aragaki) is a young widow mother. Her husband Yutaro (Yo Oizumi) died in an accident. Yutaro abandoned his wealthy family to marry Saya. To protect her baby, she goes to the town of Sasara where her aunt lived. Her aunt passed her house down to Saya. Saya and her baby settles down there, but she has difficulties dealing with her situation. At this time, her dead husband Yutaro borrows other people's bodies to help Saya, but Yutaro's family tries to take her baby away.

Takuya Okada is a high school student. He visits his classmate Mamizu Watarase in the hospital. Mamizu Watarase suffers from the mysterious ailment “Luminescence disease.” People who have the disease show a faint sparkle under the moonlight and the sparkle gets brighter as their death gets closer. Mamizu Watarase is not allowed out of the hospital and she will not live long enough to become an adult. Takuya Okada offers to help her carry out her wishes before she passes away. He also tells her how he feels about her, but Mamizu Watarase’s death is approaching.
