Lee Dong Sik, a once was capable detective, is now demoted to performing menial tasks at the Manyang Police Substation. He was just beginning to settle into a peaceful life when his new superior, Detective Han Joo Won is transferred in. Joo Won is an elite detective whose father is the star candidate for the National Police Agency’s next chief. Despite his admirable qualities and high social standing, Joo Won harbours a long-held secret.

When a string of gruesome killings occurs, a pattern takes shape that is oddly reminiscent of some cold serial-murder cases from 20 years prior. Dong Sik and Joo Won team up, vowing to stop this vicious culprit in his tracks.

Though at first he scorns her for dressing like a Grandma and she thinks he's a pampered, unreasonable child, as days pass they fall in love with each other.During this time, Gun Fei, who is Yaxin's childhood friend, is secretly plotting to destroy Yaxin. Though he has moments of uncertainty about what he's doing, he's spurred on by his dad's commands and his love for Angela - who loves Yaxin and does everything she can to be by his side. Despite all three being childhood friends, Angela never seemed to notice that Gun Fei has loved her ever since she began loving Yaxin. Despite her obvious affection, Yaxin is preoccupied with his work and doesn't spend time with her - causing her to react jealously when she realizes that he actually spends more time with Sunshine. As Sunshine continues to work for him, her infectious optimism begins to grow on Yaxin and he starts to fall in love with her.

Yoo Baek, former idol group member, is now a popular singer and actor but he doesn't try to be a good guy to attract people. He is self-centered and he is brutally honest to others even if it hurts them. For that personality, Yoo Baek makes big trouble for himself and travels to a faraway island to getaway. In that island, he meets warm people, including Oh Kang-Soon. She runs a small supermarket and also dives to pick abalone and sea mustard. She is physically a very strong woman.

A little panda fairy Ling Ling accidentally enters the Flower Neck Mountain and is mistaken for a king. Together with the military strategist Mole Shi, they led the Demon village to become bigger and stronger.
