'A Christmas Carol' is a story about a twin brother who goes to a juvenile detention center on his own to avenge the death of his twin brother.

Pretty but deadly Jade Leung is a novice policewoman who helps collar a vicious bad guy with the help of a wimpy pimp (Jordan Chan). However, said bad guy escapes and kills her uncle. Bent on gaining revenge, she travels to Mainland China to catch the perp with the reluctant Jordan in tow. In retaliation, Jordan spends most of his energy trying to escape his pint-size captor. Stephen Tung's film is one long chase, with Jade chasing Jordan, the two of them chasing the bad guy, the bad guy chasing them, and finally Yu Rong-Guang (as the nice mainland cop) chasing everyone.

Based on Jôji Atsumi's non-fiction novel Jûnana-sai: aku no rirekisho - the tagline for the movie, "Seventeen, Evil Resume" ("resume" = résumé), was a translation of the book's title - Concrete (Konkurîto) tells the real-life story of how, in 1989, a group of male youths in Tokyo, ranging in age from 16 to 18, abducted a 17-year-old high school girl, raped and otherwise abused her for 41 days, then murdered her. They put her corpse into a 50-gallon oil drum, filled the drum with concrete - hence the movie's title - then dumped it in a reclaimed land area. The Crime Investigation Department is assigned to protect a princess-consort coming from the Republic of Puerto Risi. They arrange a fantastic trip to introduce the princess-consort to Hong Kong, but a big crisis looms on the horizon.

Song Byung-Tae (Jae Hee) is a quiet, shy guy, making him the perfect target for bullies at his school. In fact, Byung-Tae is beaten up daily by bullies. He then reads books on martial arts and fighting techniques to one day combat his tormentors, but it doesn't seem to help. Byung-Tae then comes across a strange man named Pan-Soo (Baek Yoon-Sik). Pan-Soo is a former legendary brawler, but now keen on keeping a low profile until he can leave the country for good. Pan-Soo notices that Byung-Tae has potential as a fighter. While, Pan-Soo at first blows off Byung-Tae's pleas for help. A change of heart leads Pan-Soo to train Byung-Tae in the art of fighting.
