Jock, the apprentice detective whose special gadgets are created using household items, has been hired to spy on an old married guy and his new beautifully young gold-digging girlfriend. While trying to collect evidence, it is love at first sight for Jock as he focuses in on his targets with his binoculars. He cant help to think ".. damn, What a fox!" The fact that the girl has two patrons is no surprised to Jock that she also has two detectives investigating her too. Jock–the detective who's falling head over heels for the girl--is one and another is the ruthless Suthin who tries to blackmail his targets by threatening to release photos of their affairs to public if they not pay him money. The story closely follows key events of the Xinhai Revolution, with focus on Huang Xing and Sun Yat-sen, beginning with the Wuchang Uprising of 1911, from the Second Guangzhou Uprising (on 27 April 1911) through military engagements between revolutionary and Qing Dynasty forces, the deaths of the 72 martyrs, and scenes of political-economic manoeuvring, to the election of Sun Yat-sen as provisional president of the new Provisional Republic of China, followed by news of the abdication of the last Qing emperor Puyi (signed on his behalf by Empress Dowager Longyu) on 12 February 1912, when Sun Yat-sen stepped down and Yuan Shikai became the new provisional president in Beijing on 10 March 1912. 

Lin Zhen Xin is an ordinary office worker who gets ridiculed by her subordinates. Dejected, she listens to a cassette recording of an old Andy Lau song. This brings her back to her high school days, where she was an ordinary high school girl. She has a crush on Ouyang Fei Fan, the school's most popular male student.

One day, Zhen Xin receives a chain letter, warning her of impending doom if she does not pass the message on. Naively, she passes it on to Hsu Tai Yu, the school's notorious gangster boss, her maths teacher, and Tao Min Min, the school's most popular girl. While Tai Yu was reading the letter, he gets injured in a car accident. After weeding out the letter's sender, the angry Tai Yu makes Zhen Xin his 'friend' and forces her to run errands for him in exchange for leaving Fei Fan alone, thus making her his errand-girl.

On the Chinese side of the China-Russia-North Korea border, in the Yanbian, Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Ku Nam toils his days away as a taxi driver. When he's not working he's often found in the gambling halls. Ku Nam is now in serious debt. His wife left to work in South Korea and promised to send money back. He has yet to hear from her and he is tormented by nightmares of her having an extra-marital affair. Making matters worse, Ku Nam is fired from his job and debt-collectors take most of his severance pay. Dog seller and underworld crime boss Myung Ga offers him a deal. If Ku Nam goes to South Korea and successfully carries out a hit he will get paid $10,000 USD. Ku Nam accepts the deal and leaves for Korea on a rickety fishing boat with $500 dollars for his expenses. When Ku Nam arrives in South Korea he carefully scopes out his target for days, while also searching for his wife. When the time arrives for Ku Nam to take out his target, a string of unexpected events occurs leaving Ku Nam desperately looking for a way out. Meanwhile, the cops, Korean mafia, and the Chinese mafia all frantically search for Ku Nam.
