A story that follows a detective in the major crimes division of Nan Xing City Police Department. Together with a woman who has super memory, he upholds the law one case at a time in solving murders, burglaries and bringing down a narcotics manufacturing facility.

Jing Chu is a young and capable detective. Due to his repeated merits from cracking big cases, he is promoted to the position of major crimes division vice-captain at Nan Xing city and starts to work alongside his new team. Because of a murder case, he meets Yang Mian Mian, a young woman who possesses a photographic memory. He soon realizes that Mian Mian seems to have a deep connection to his father's mysterious death many years ago.

Meanwhile, a famous blogger and a member of an idol girl group die consecutively. Their cause of death is identified to be due to a medical substance. As the major crimes division launch their investigation, they uncover a dangerous conspiracy that could threaten their own lives.

Susin High School, nicknamed "Prison High," is an elite school attended by the top 1% of students in the country. The Fairy of Flowers TSZ MEI (CHUNG, LINDA) sneaks into the mortal world to have a taste of love. There the innocent MEI meets a sophisticated conman named TING SUN (LEUNG WING CHUNG). The time limit for soul excchange is about to run out. SUN will perish forever if he fails to get back to his body within the time allowed. What is even worse is that FA, MEI, Fairy TOK SHUI (YUEN WAH) and God YEE LONG (LEE KWOK LUN) have been misled by the fake SUN and the Fairies have all geared themselves up to kill "SHAU-YIP". The real SUN is now on the verge of death……

The story is set in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture in the era around the Second World War. When the story opens in 1928, the heroine, Sakurako, is a very active seven-year-old girl who is interested in becoming a jazz pianist, and music features extensively in the plot.

In this tale, a mythical Jade is said to cure all illnesses but carries a deadly curse that only the heart’s blood of a woman from the Ruan family can lift. To break his fate of dying before 30, Gu Sui Zhi devises a plan to make the orphaned Ruan Shu fall in love with him. As they struggle between love and redemption, they unknowingly awaken a past-life grudge.
