The story takes place in a mythological world with demons, gods, and humans cohabiting. Our hero, Chi You (Huang Xiao Ming) is driven by revenge and wants to dominate and unite all living things under one ruler. His resolve is immovable until he meets the heroine, a princess from the Xuan Yuan Kingdom (Victoria Song). During the chaotic times, two dominant figures emerged: Chi You, a war god from Shen Nong Tribe, and Prince Shao Hao (Peter Sheng), from Gao Xin kingdom. While our heroine is forced to marry Shao Hao, her heart belongs to Chi You, and conflicts in interest arise when her father invades Shen Nong.

The story follows our heroine, Lin Xiao Xia who poses as a jewellery con artist to trick people into buying fake expensive jewelries. She meets our hero – a spoiled rich young master of a jewellery company who ran away after stealing a precious necklace from his family. They become friends and he also happens to be the only person who believes her when she’s telling the truth and encourages her to step out of her past mistakes and pursue a career as a jewellery designer. She, in turn, helps him see the value of jewelries and his family’s hard work.

After recovering from a long term illness, semi-retired popular singer Wah Fong Ying realizes that she has lived an unfulfilled life. With two failed marriages and estranged relationships with all of her children she lives a lonely life. Wanting to mend her relationship with her oldest daughter who resides in Taiwan, she travels there and meets Hong Kong photographer Ben Law, who is a fan of her. Ben is in Taiwan to fulfill his late wife's wish to have her remains returned to her ancestral home. Romance sparks between the two and soon each becomes the other's strength and support. Realizing that throughout her career she has never sung for her loved ones and with Ben's encouragement, Fong Ying decides to hold a last concert for her friends and family, but her daughter Tong Yan rejects her invitation to attend. Fong Ying proceeds on working on her concert and hires assistant Jinny Szeto and creative director Sean Song to help her produce the concert. Just as light seems to shine on Fong Ying again, darkness comes back into her life when Jinny finds out that Fong Ying was involve in an affair with her uncle in the past and Ben starts to suffer from hallucinations due to a brain tumor.

Chun Jae In (Kang Ji Hwan) is an elite detective with a genius IQ, who guided by only facts, logic, and numbers. Meanwhile, Kim Dan (Kim Ok Bin) is a rookie detective who can see ghosts. They work together to uncover a conspiracy involving a powerful organization.

The birth of a child has caused an inflection point and a rift in the intimate relationship of a loving young couple, and the once affectionate campus couple eventually goes their separate ways. After the baptism of life, they move forward steadily in their respective life tracks. However, the child's sudden onset of leukemia disrupts the originally peaceful reunited family. The divorced couple's peaceful lives are forced to let go of their differences due to the child's malady and join hands again to fight against fate. The fate of several families is thus closely linked. In the process of saving the child, the adults are also being saved by the child, reconciling with the past and themselves.
