Mi-Soo (Han Hyo-Joo) is a doctor with a fiery spirit. Unfortunately, her fiery spirit gets the best of her one day at work. Mi-Soo fails to properly diagnosis an ill woman, after she sees the ill woman's husband, whom she assumes to be an abusive thug. Because of Mi-Soo's failure to diagnose the woman's illness, the woman is now hospitalized and near death. Her husband sues the hospital and Mi-Soo is advised to find a character witness.Kang-Il (Ko Soo) is a dedicated firefighter, who doesn't blink when it comes to saving someone else's life. Emotionally, Kang-Il still carries heavy grief over the death of his own wife. Outside of work, Kang-Il rarely socializes with others. Firefighter Kang-Il was also at the hospital when the wife, who was misdiagnosed by Mi-Soo, became gravely ill. His boss ordered Kang-Il to follow the husband and to make sure he doesn't do anything rash. The husband eventually confronts Kang-Il and assaults him.Later, Mi-Soo learns of the incident between firefighter Kang-Il and the husband. She concocts a plan to cozy up to the firefighter, in hopes of enlisting him in her legal defense. Little does she know, she isn't dealing with an ordinary fellow and she just may have found her true love.

A woman with the constitution of orgasmic death: She dies in orgasm but always comes back to life! A group of people carries a casket in the mountains covered with deep snow. Inside is a beautiful woman who was found dead that same morning. The people believe that she's the snow woman because it was their second time to find her dead. They carried her body to the mountain once before, but she reappeared in their village. Placing the casket on top of the mountain, they quickly run away so certain that she is a ghost. As soon as they leave, the woman opens the lid of the casket and stands up. Nihei, who runs a mountain inn far away from the village, meets a woman roaming in the snowy mountains. As she's too tired to walk anymore, he carries her to his inn and takes care of her. "That's okay, since you've been kind to me", she says and takes his hand to her crotch. Unable to resist her beauty, Nihei has passionate sex with her. But when they make the peak, she dies in an orgasm. Mortified, Nihei tries to warm her icy body. After a moment, she regains her breath. When Nihei asks her what had happened, she says that her name is Oyuki and she has the constitution of orgasmic death explaining, "when I have an orgasm, I asphyxiate", to his immediate disbelief. In the mean time, an armed group of men is about to go into the mountains to confront the snow woman who disappeared again.

Nearly everything about Tachiguishi Retsuden defies easy explanation. Like the title, for starters. It literally means something like “The Legendary Masters of Eating While Standing,” while Production I.G. has apparently gone with the more spirited “Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of Fast Food Grifters.” Unlike the majority of his other films, it's a parody. It's animated, but it isn't anime. It's comprised of still photos of actors and settings that have been digitally animated into life, stop-motion style. But that being said, there isn't a whole hell of a lot of motion, either. Major portions of the film consist of long (long) stretches of narraration over grainy, colorized black and white stills. Sounds confusing? I haven't even gotten to the plot. It's like Tampopo meets Jin-Roh, a sprawling (and totally fictional) documentary chronicling dine-and-dashers in Japan's postwar era. The story opens in the tiny standing room only noodle shops that sprang up during the occupation, and ends among the hamburger stands, beef bowl joints, and curry restaurants that serve up the majority of Japan's fast food today. The various protagonists aren't cast as criminals, but as anti-heroes and springboards for social satire. Sounds simple enough on the surface, but this is Mamoru Oshii we're talking about. Their “amazing lives” unfold in an incredibly dense narrative, crammed full of trivia, pop-culture references, and Japanese urban legends, the vast majority completely unknown to foreign audiences.

Putting down unwanted animals is a daily job for Makita Hiroshi and his fellow doctors, Hataeda Aki and Shiga Satoshi. All three do what’s requested of them, suffering from pangs of conscience. The situation will change with the arrival of a new shelter head, who is bringing her own vision of how the animals should be treated.

Doo-jin, who is abandoned by Hyeong-sin's gang, kidnap a new victim alone. A middle-aged woman tracks down Hyeong-jin's gang to find her son who went missing during his vacation. However, the victim and kidnapper are tangled in many complicated ways...
