Aiko Uzaki (Satomi ISHIHARA) is a "daddy's girl" who was raised by her father as her mother died when she was one. Her father, Kentaro (Saburo TOKITO) has set up some strict rules and controlled his daughter's life literally 24-7. Now that she's 20 years old and has started working for a fashionable clothing company, it's only natural that she expects some freedom, but that's not what her father thinks. When she falls in love with a nice young man, Seiji MIURA (Junnosuke TAGUCHI), even her strict father reluctantly accepts the fact that his daughter has her own life, but then, they have to overcome some difficulties. This is a heartwarming comedy about an outrageous yet strong bond between a father and a daughter who try to find out the true meaning of happiness through lots of laughter and tears.

Set in Nagano prefecture, the drama covers the life of Yoko Sudo through World War II. Yoko Sudo with her smile is able to bring brightness to those other around her & she follows her mother's motif to laugh through hard times. During the onset of WW II, Yoko Sudo is a high school student and "Ohisama" follows her as she eventually becomes a teacher and then gets married and has a child. When World War II breaks out, Yoko's husband and brothers are drafted into the military. Yoko Sudo then opens a soba restaurant with her student.

A brilliant general medicine doctor dreams only of becoming a famous dancer. He returns to Japan to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry only to find out the agency he signed up with was a sham. He stays in Japan and works part-time in a run-down GM center solving baffling medical mysteries. All the while he plans for his dancing comeback.

There is a small pâtisserie in an alley that has no name, no menu, and a temperamental pastry chef who only makes 3 types of desserts a day. When a backpacker stumbled into the little shop and insisted on staying to be her assistant, the atmosphere inside the shop changes for the better. He act as a bridge between her and the customers, using her desserts to heal the customers' broken hearts. But who can heal the chef's broken heart when her ex-boyfriend came knocking? 

The story explores the good and evil of human nature, focusing on the issues faced by both men and women in the marriage relationship.

The story starts with the married couple, Xu Ruo Xuan and Zhang Jun Ning. Xu Ruo Xuan believes that husband and wife gets married because of the union of love, but in reality this may not be enough to make up for the differences between the two. Long-term lack of honesty and communication will gradually lead to a crisis, which will eventually erupt and develop in many different forms.
