The story of four generations of women from four different time periods. From the Late Qing era to the May Fourth Period, the Sixties to the modern times. Each period shows the rapidly changing status of women in China in the last 100 years.

[First part] "I'm going to the army." Min Kyu was surprised at the unexpected news. He is uncomfortable with the news of Jae Sung's enlistment, but he does not know why. He pretends not to care, but his heart doesn't calm down. Min Kyu feels like he shouldn't miss Jae Sung. [Second part] Jae Sung runs to Min Kyu as soon as he gets a military leave. Unlike Jae Sung, who had only thought of Min Kyu, the latter seemed excited about his new college life and bragged that he became a popular guy on campus. With no allies within UBS, she decides to hire Hikari, training her to be an assistant producer. Hikari's happiness is keeping her family fed and paying off her father's debt. Masako's happiness is to gain respect within UBS by excelling as a drama producer.

Tokino Mitani runs a watch shop, located on a street far from the downtown area. She is 20-years-old and inherited the watch shop from her grandfather. Unknown to most, she is also an excellent private detective and offers an alibi cracking service. She can crack someone's false alibi by using logic based on time and a watch. She gets payed 5,000 yen for that service.

Yoshiyuki Saji used to be an elite police officer, but he tried to uncover corruption within the police department. This caused Yoshiyuki Saji to receive a demotion to a police station in a rural city. He moves alone there, leaving behind his wife and child. He lives at a boarding house, where Tokino Mitani lives. Yoshiyuki Saji does not get along with the other detectives there. He struggles to solve a case and he hears about Tokino Mitani's ability as an alibi cracker. He doesn't want to ask for her help, because of his pride as a police officer, but he requests her help on a case.

A drama set in a police department depicts how a woman grows and matures as a human being as she suffers from the gap between reality and ideals in an environment where women are looked down upon. Mizuho Hirano, a woman police officer whose work consists of drawing composite sketches of criminal suspects, has the unique ability to look deep into people's hearts. A particular case is the reason for her being demoted and transferred to the Public Affairs Office. Kosuke Nishijima, a young detective who's just transferred from another department has a horrible past. When he was child, his mother was murdered by someone and he was the first one to discover her body.Each installment zeroes in on the true but hidden feelings and dark place in the hearts of people involved in crimes.The drama depicts in a bright and fresh manner how Mizuho falls in love while struggling to do her work.
