It tells a story about rescue team members responding to a major disaster due to an earthquake. A sudden earthquake has hit the entire Guancheng County Chemical Industrial Park to trigger pipeline leaks and explosions. Thick smoke billows amidst blazing fire as disaster rapidly escalates. If it is not contained, the entire city will soon be razed to the ground... An escaped convict for negligent homicide returned to hometown after 15 years, only to be haunted by his past, and got mixed up in a scheme involving the daughter of his victim.

The movie is based on a real historic event. During French's invading war against China in 1885, the French army took over Zhengnan Guan located in the Guangxi Province. Wishing to protect their beloved country, the 70 years old General Feng Zicai and his two sons volunteered to join the battle. The general understood it would be a difficult battle to win as the French soldiers held much more advanced equipment, resources and weapons. To show his devotion and determination, he brought his own coffin alongside with him to the war zone. He also utilized his experience with the Zhangnan Guan terrain to pave out strategies, made weapons applicable to their situations. These actions bolstered the morale tremendously, and prepared them well for the war. As a result, although the Chinese soldiers sustained heavy losses, they turned the tide of the battle and won.

The story of a woman in a mountain cabin in Gangwon province who’s been possessed by an evil spirit and a priest tries to stop it. 66 years and six months later, best friends Sang Goo and Jae Pil buy the cabin and Mi Na ends up intertwined with them after coming on a trip. The movie follows the terrifying things that happen to the group, and it’s described that the film is about the “satanic” goat-headed figure Baphomet.

The character Sang Goo is said to be a man who appears intimidating but is really naive, while his friend Jae Pil is a man who seems rough on the outside but is actually warm. In contrast to the others from rich families, Mi Na grew up in a normal household in the countryside and she’s described as eccentric.
