A determined Qing dynasty princess contends with palace intrigue and a vendetta against her family while navigating the treacherous terrain of romance.

The story begins in the Northern Qi Kingdom. The prime minister Gu Qing Hong (Zhang Xiao Long) schemes to murder his wife Miao Qian Qian (Wang Li Kun), the daughter of an aristocratic family, together with her whole family. However, the Emperor of the Southern Liang Kingdom (Allen Ting)’s younger brother Xiao Feng Qing (Joe Cheng), who’s actually a half-alien, rescues Qian Qian. Qian Qian from then on lives under the name Nie Wu Shuang and enters the palace of the Liang Kingdom. A love triangle between Wu Shuang and the Xiao brothers ensues. But behind Wu Shuang’s necklace lies a huge secret: twenty years ago, a fairy came down to earth after war on the Phoenix Star broke out and she was pursued. There she saw a little girl, Qian Qian, who was about to drown. She then gave her the “Heavenly Tear”, a stone with a huge power: whoever owns it will be able to unify the country.

The horror series is adapted of a popular series manga, written by Tsutomu Takahashi and each episode will be directed by a famous realizer. Among the realizers, one will find Norio Tsuruta (Boxing ring 0) and Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus). Shaku Yumiko (24) will play the role of Izuko, gatekeeper of the "Gate of Rancor" (a gate between this world and the afterlife), the destination for all the assassinated people. Izuko listens to the tragic tales of murder victims and gives to deaths three choices: to give up their hatred, to reach the paradise and to reappear; to refuse to accept their death and to haunt the world of alive as a spectrum; to be avenged by maudissant and killing alive, then to go down to the hells.

After the wedding, she avoids consumating her relationship with Nit's father, but Nit is unaware of that and continues to believe she is someone who sleeps around with many men. A week after her marriage, Nit's father has a heart attack and passes away. Soon after, it is discovered Karnploo is pregnant. Nit is furious and both he and Karn continue their maliciousness and misunderstandings toward each other other. When their jealous exes and family comes to break them apart and swindel them out of their fortunes, will they learn to mend their ways or will their misunderstandings lead to greater tragedy for everyone involved?
