Disney’s hit High School Musical franchise remade for the Chinese movie market, with a remake of the 2006 TV movie, starring an all-Chinese cast and featuring a new screenplay. High School Musical: China features six young idols as high school teenagers chasing their dreams in the inter-school singing competition. Expect lotsof dazzling song-and-dance sequences like in the originals, but with unique Chinese elements in the story, themusic, and the dancechoreography.“We wrote an original screenplay from the ground up. As Eun Hee deals with the people and pressures around her, summer wears on with several major news events happening in the background, including the world cup, the death of North Korean leader Kim Il Sung and the collapse of the Seongsu bridge.
