This drama depicts the turbulent period spanning from the reign of King Taejo (born Lee Seong Gye), the founder of the Joseon dynasty, to King Sejong.

The subtle relationship between Barrister SHING WAI-SHUN (Steven Ma) and pole dancer HUNG LONG-KIU (Fala Chen) begins with a cell phone. KIU has been treating SHUN hot and cold. On top of this, he also finds her somewhat unpredictable. He decides to check her out secretly. His good friend, KWAN HO-CHING (Yoyo Mung) discovers that KIU is going out with rich businessman KO WING-TAI (Lau Tan). Under SHUN's questioning, KIU confesses she is coveting TAI's money, telling him to relinquish hope. It turns out that a mysterious man, who has been close at hand is controlling KIU. Laying bare the darkest side of human nature, Links to Temptation is a thriller about morality, money, greed and arrogance.

When Kyoichiro comes home, he hears that his 14-year-old son Kyosuke was stabbed to death. The person who killed Kyosuke turns out to be 13-year-old Mitsuru. The two boys were classmates. Due to Japan's juvenile law, Mitsuru will not receive commensurate punishment for his crime. Kyoichiro points his anger at Mitsuru and his mother Hatsumi, but Kyoichiro sees that Hatsumi also suffers from her son's actions.

Arisu—a listless, jobless and video-game-obsessed young man—suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games in order to survive. In this strange world, Arisu meets Usagi, a young woman who’s navigating the games alone. Together, they set out to unravel one mystery after another as they risk their lives and confront what it means to live.
