Yue Ran, Ning Jiajia, Su Shan and Luo Fei are graduates of a hotel management course. They pass through various tough selections to enter the international hotel chain BYT as interns. However, they do not have much work motivation. Some wants to heal their pain from a previous relationship, while some want to take this as an opportunity to meet rich people. However, they were taken aback by the sudden announcement of a three-month "elimination" period, where they will be fired if they don't meet the requirements of an employee in ZAD. Facing ratiocination from colleagues tough demands from their superior and troubles created by customers, the interns try their very best not to get eliminated. Slowly, they begin to find joy and meaning in their work.

Meanwhile, the CEO of BYT is guarding the secret that the hotel chain is about to collapse. He had hoped for his son, Xie Fanyu to return from overseas to help manage and revive the company. However, Xie Fanyu is secretly planning to sell the hotel chain away. The battle to keep the hotel chain initiated by the interns thus officially begin.

Five teenagers suffered neglect from their families. They were entangled in various problems such as rape, homophobia, prostitution, domestic abuse, and drug addiction. One day, all of them decided to flee their house and gathered under one roof, resorting to drugs to numb the pain caused by their problems.

The film takes place in 2046. The Chinese government has created the first cybernetic organism, K1, programmed with sophisticated social conscience, ideal for police applications. Initially deployed in a remote village for testing, K1, is loved by the villagers, and performs all duties and expectations flawlessly, except one. Su Mei, a fellow police officer falls in love with K1, creating a problem as cyborgs are not programmed to feel such feelings. Meanwhile, another cyborg, K88, disappears after suffering a neural meltdown, and K1 is called in to hunt down the renegade robot.

Shi Qi is a talented and good-natured artist who, during one of her painting assignments, learns of an affair between the chancellor’s cruel and exploitative daughter, Shen Qin, and the ruler of the realm, King Ning. Shen Qin, however, is engaged to marry the powerful general Xiao Han Sheng. But when Shi Qi accidentally witnesses deadly and nefarious goings-on at the court, she finds herself drawn into trouble. Shen Qin devises a way to enlist a magician to swap her face with that of Shi Qi – so that she and the painter can “switch” identities.

As such, Shi Qi ends up “engaged” to Xiao Han Sheng, while Shen Qin takes up the painter’s identity. But the “real” Shi Qi has already crossed paths with Xiao Han Sheng many years ago – even though he has no idea who she truly “is” now. King Ning, meanwhile, is still keen to continue his relationship with the woman he believes to be Shen Qin. As the two women begin to live each others’ lives, though, both King Ning and Xiao Han Sheng begin to suspect that the women they are with have undergone enormous personality changes. Could something be amiss, they ask themselves. Will the truth come out? And will Shi Qi and Shen Qin ever regain their “true” faces?
