This is the story of the famous Wong Fei Hung during his younger years.

Set in the winter of 1923, Feng Chuan Mu Dan takes viewers in a time of war and instability in Northern China. The young Buddhist nun Wu Xia by chances learns of her identity as the eldest daughter of the Yu Family in Suzhou, known for their silk embroidery. As she runs away from military pursuit and heads toward Suzhou, she is saved by the young, idealistic businessman Huo Dong Qing who escorts her to Suzhou. Wu Xia is faced with many trials and tribulations related to the familial and societal pressures which she faces with grace and kind perseverance.

The hero, Mamiya Shinjuro, earned his embalmer's license in the United States, but for reasons that will probably be easier to understand once the series starts, he is working in a Tokyo hospital as a janitor. In the premiere episode, a friend of one of the nurse's is killed in an accident. The woman had just been made the principal soloist in a ballet company and was about to get married to the man of her dreams. The woman's fiancee, hearing of Mamiya's special skills, asks him to restore her corpse to the way she looked when she was alive.

Ultra Q can be described as a half-hour Toho kaiju film. Although series creator Eiji Tsuburaya intended this series to be more like The Twilight Zone and focus less on the monsters, TBS convinced Eiji to add more monsters onto the show, as Godzilla (Gojira) and Gamera were very popular at the time (the first "Kaiju Boom" was already born). This series predates The X-Files, with continuing characters who investigate strange supernatural phenomena, be they giant monsters, aliens, ghosts, and other assorted calamities. The single best comparison to any American TV show is to The Outer Limits, which in its original form generally featured a monster-of-the-week story.

Homeless on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Hsiao Kang is robbed, beaten and left for dead; he is found and nursed by Rawang, an immigrant worker, who lives in the shell of a modernist building abandoned during construction. Rawang`s feelings for his patient may or may not be sexual, but there`s definitely something like lust in the eyes of Chyi, a waitress in a run-down old coffee shop, when they light upon the recovering Hsiao Kang. And so a triangle forms as a blanket of noxious fog settles on the city and everyone has trouble breathing. Simultaneously erotic and comical, the film underpins director Tsai`s deadpan allegory with hints of social realism.

Hwang Dae Myung is an official with the Cultural Heritage Administration living a double life.

He’s a pathetic civil servant by day and a daring thief by night. When the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s cultural property team recovers some of the country’s missing cultural assets, both of his lives start to unravel.

It was the year 1993, a couple of years after Japan's economy bubble burst. Life was tough for Fuyuki Aki, as she tried to prove herself in a society where men were still favored over women for promotions and even in simple things like regular permanent jobs, the women were often passed over for men. Amidst all her struggles and frustrations in her job, her ex-boyfriend Sato Yasushi, who happened to be her colleague, announced his upcoming marriage to the girl from the admin department. Aki had broken up with Yasushi two years ago, as she had despaired over her career in the male-dominated company, feeling helpless thinking about her futile efforts to progress her career. Her anger at her situation transformed into anger at all men, which in turn caused her to disregard Yasushi's feelings. Unexpectedly, Yasushi's announcement made her felt out of sorts.

On the day of the wedding, at the entrance welcoming the guests was Yasushi's mother, Sachiko. Aki had gotten on very well with Sachiko back when she was dating Yasushi, but since their break-up 2 years ago, she had lost all contact with her. On that day, Sachiko had pressed a letter into her hands while they were greeting each other. In it Sachiko wrote, "I had believed that you and I were bound by fate. Aki-san, why did you make the wrong move?"

For women, love, marriage, children, and death... in a time of upheavals, Aki had turned her back on all these things. Be it a beautiful or harsh fate, she chose to create her own destiny.
