The series covers the life of Emperor Wu from his early childhood to his death and some events in the reign of Emperor Jing (Emperor Wu's father and predecessor), such as the Rebellion of the Seven States. It follows the conflicts that defined the pivotal war between the Han Dynasty and Xiongnu, portraying the major victories that Han scored over the Xiongnu during Emperor Wu's reign. Numerous prominent historical figures such as the generals Li Guang, Wei Qing and Huo Qubing, as well as the diplomats Su Wu and Zhang Qian, also make appearances in the series.

Shan Yi Fan suffers from a strange disease; if he has five seconds of physical contact with someone he will change into that person's appearance and won't be able to change back until three days later.

One day, he transforms into Luo Luo's cheating ex-boyfriend during the middle of their arguing and she mistakenly follows him instead, only to accidentally kiss. Surprisingly he transforms back to himself! With Luo Luo's kiss being his antidote, what else is a domineering CEO to do but to keep her by his side at all costs.

A girl (Suzu Hirose) has lost her family and is cast out from society. She meets an old woman (Yuko Tanaka). Both of them do not have faith in other people, but they feel something for each other. The old woman hides the girl. An incident occurs.

Hong Kong is an expensive city. Some people have to work multiple jobs in order to afford a flat. Tang is a carefree, unambitious orphan who lives in the present. He works multiple jobs including food and goods delivery. One day, he meets famous businesswoman Ms. Fok, who invites him to move into her luxurious house with a few other contestants. For the next six months, all contestants must follow Ms. Fok’s rules while learning to live with one another. Those that survive the six-month period will each receive HK1 million dollars. With their eyes set on the prize, everyone tries to do their best at first. However, more and more problems surface as time goes by.

A small town man brings along his mother and his best friend to the big city to find work. Their temporarily lodge with an old buddy of his, who is at the time the center of conflicts between union workers fighting for their rights and unscrupulous bosses trying to crush their protests. The man learns to navigate the political landmines and climbs up the society ladder. Yet, he is privately dissatisfied withthe man he has become. He later finds a purpose in life and a cause greater than money and power.

Yoshizawa Miku leads a busy life as part of the variety show team at the local TV station "P-Tele". One day, her drama proposal is accepted and she's able to transfer to the drama department. Her joy was short-lived, as the department head then asked "Can we make the protagonist of this proposal a person with disabilities?"

As part of the "Diversity Month" campaign launched by the network, it is said that dramas featuring characters with diverse backgrounds are needed. Despite Miku's concerns, she continues to press on with the interviews, determined to make the plan work somehow.

Eventually, she meets Miyajima Haru, a wheelchair- bound high school student who aspires to be an actress. As a result of being charmed by Haru, she offers her the part, but Haru refuses, saying, "I don't want my disability to be exploited." Unable to give up, Miku visits the rehearsal studio of the theater company that Haru belongs to...
