Zhang Ying Xue is a single mother with custody of her child and is working as a nurse in a hospital. She meets Liu Jia Cheng, the Dean at the wedding of her sister, Xiao Jun, and Jia Cheng’s younger brother, Jia You. Ying Xue’s former mother-in-law had to return to her grandson and make a big wedding. As a result, Jia Cheng’s mother, Zhu Zhu, was dissatisfied with Ying Xue’s family. How the lives of these four people are affected by their family opposition, financial difficulties and re-appearance of Ying Xue's ex-husband form the crux of the story.

High school student Watanuki Kimihiro has the ability to see spirits and monsters but is actually plagued with them. Coming home one day, he’s once again assailled by evil apparitions but his feet lead him to a strange shop. There he encounters Ichihara Yuko, the mysterious owner who offers to grant Watanuki’s wish to be rid of the spirits. But the price must be of equal value, so Watanuki has to temporarily work for her in her shop that grant wishes. Thus begins his adventures in an world full of supernatural experiences.

Outwardly, Xiao Feng (Ariel Lin) is a stubborn tomboy and the captain of the Kendo Club at her college. In her group of friends, she is the leader with her demanding nature and abrupt ways. Inwardly however, Xiao Feng is a girl scarred by her past and searching for what she wants most, love. Her friends, Ah Kai (Zhang Rui Jia), Xiao Bai (Lai Zhi Wei), Mu Tou (Lin Yi Hong), Xin Lei (Sa Sa), and, Xiao Xiao (Yang Pei Ting) don't know about that part of her past but they are all loyal friends to Xiao Feng; that is, until Xiao Bai and Ah Kai leave the Kendo Club for the Swim Team. Xiao Bai and Ah Kai are immediately regretful when the captain of the Swim Team, Ah Ken, turns out to be a captain as grueling as Xiao Feng. When one night Xiao Feng announces to her friends she wants love the most, Xiao Bai and Ah Ken devise a prank called the love contract. In exchange for finding swim team members to recruit, Ah Ken must court Xiao Feng.

Kanbe Takeru chooses to remain in the Special Missions Division, but he seems to continue to keep a distance from his direct superior, Sugishita Ukyo. One day, the dead body of the popular female novelist, Mizumoto Shoko, is found in her own home. The possibility of murder fuelled by a grudge is high from the situation at the crime scene, and a male stalker emerges in the line of investigation. However, Ukyo focuses his attention on a missing section from a document package for a new book that Shoko was working on. It is eventually determined that Shoko was attempting to write a novel with an environmental theme which is completely different from her style of writing so far. Ukyo and Kanbe try to get information from the employees at a trading conglomerate that Shoko had interviewed.

In early 1965, a child violinist who was expected to be a prodigy, came up to Tokyo from Nagasaki and lived in lodgings. In the 1970s, the violinist (Suda Masaki) faced a setback during the uproar over the US-Japan security treaty. Even so, he did not cut off music. By the time he realised it, he had started singing as Grape. This is a story centred around his high school and university days surrounded by different people including friends, teachers as well as older men at his part-time job.

Gao Xin Yue has written a screenplay that was altered by her colleague, Shu Miao, without her permission. Shu Miao then submitted the altered screenplay to their company headquarters. A furious Gao Xin Yue wanted to withdraw the submission but accidentally travels into the world of the screenplay. She is now the concubine of the third prince Ling Hong. Due to the script change, Gao Xin Yue experiences countless obstacles after marrying into the palace as various characters plot and scheme for her downfall. What's worse is that Shu Miao has also time traveled along with her and is manipulating events from behind the scenes. Nonetheless, Gao Xin Yue manages to rise up the ranks from concubine to Ling Hong's consort. Thinking that everything would be back to normal once the story reaches its happy conclusion, Gao Xin Yue soon realized that things are not as simple as it seems...
