The 28th NHK Taiga Drama is Tobuga Gotoku.

Ruka has yet to mature into a full-fledged vampire. His canines have yet to fully develop, which means he still hasn't tasted human blood — or, at least, human blood that he's drawn himself. In order to get him prepared, he is cast down into the world of humans, where he boards with Jiro, the owner of a Chinese restaurant, and enrolls in high school. His homeroom teacher is a cheerful, though meddlesome, young woman who catches the fledgling bloodsucker off-guard. Is he actually falling in love with a mortal?

Mung Ka-Ka (Sheren Tang), Cho Mei-Ngoh (Kiki Sheung) and Hilary Ding Mui-Hong (Cecilia Yip) are good friends and they are experts on how to raise a family. They teach Ko Wing-Kuen (David Chiang) how to raise his daughter and show him that it takes more than words to care for a child. Along the way, they find out that their husbands might be secretly doing things behind their backs...

A story revolving around a Nationalist spy who has been inactive for ten years until he receives a mission to execute Operation Black Tiger. In the year 1948, Li Chun Qiu is ordered by his superiors to make a bomb and to assist with Operation Black Tiger. Having established a peaceful life in Harbin, Li Chun Qiu is unwilling to revert back to his old ways and merely wants to hold on to ordinary life with his family. In order to cut off his past, he starts a difficult battle to break free from their control, all while inviting the suspicions of his colleagues and the police.

During Shanghai's development, Shen Qinan works hard to build affordable homes for the people. When the Second Sino-Japanese War erupted, Shen Qinan uncovers a conspiracy and plays his part to prevents many deaths.

A year has pass and Golf and Mike are a famous duo. Pat and Ple are still their girlfriends though keeping it secret from the public is making Pat unhappy which causes a strain in Golf and Pat's relationship. Things are made worse when Pat gets into accident and doesn't remember Golf. Golf does everything possible to make Pat remember but fails cause she starts remembering the bad times only. Pat decided to start over her life and falls for a guy named March and starts dating him. Though the more she hangs out with Golf, she is becoming confused about her feelings. In addition, Mike has been having headaches and fainting so he decided to go to the hospital where he learns that he has a brain tumor. Mike hides the truth from his girlfriend Ple so she doesn't be sad, but she assumes that he is cheating on her cause he is becoming secretive and suddenly disappears a lot which causes problems in their relationship. Will Pat remember Golf and their good times together? Will Ple believe that Mike isn't cheating on her? Will the gang find out about Mike health problem?
