Xiao Shiyi Lang is a happy-go-lucky thief who robs the rich and gives to the poor. On one of his missions, he gets involved in a messy fight for a legendary saber, the Deer Carver, and makes the acquaintance of Shen Bi Jun, the fairest woman in the martial world. By the will of fate, he rescues Shen several times, which plants the seed of love in both of their hearts.

However, Shen is engaged to Lian Cheng Bi, an outstanding young martial artist from a prominent family. "Viva La Romance" is a new husband and wife observation cure program hosted by Tao Jing Ying. "Next Girlz" is a survival show where 54 female trainees, ages ranging from 13 to 28, are divided into six groups, with nine members in each group. The groups are represented by a brokerage company, and each team has its own representative crystal and colour that represent the different styles of the group.

This season differs from the previous seasons, as this season will have a live audience. The scoring of the trainees will be done by the audience and online popularity. The brokerage company will select the challenges. Some of the challenges are song adaptation and mentor collaboration. There is also a hidden mystery group that will be revealed after three months of competition. This will affect the outcome of the next round. The mentors will not participate in the scoring of the contestants.

In this year's show, there are a number of foreign trainees including from France, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and more, to attract international interest in the show and the new girl group.
