Set in the city of Beiping during the 22 days before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 is a story about the drastic changes in the lives of three brothers Jin Hai, Tie Lin, and Xu Tian as well as a romance between Xu Tian and Tian Dan. In investigating the murder that claimed the life of his fiancee, policeman Xu Tian starts on a trail that will eventually lead to his involvement in the liberation of Beiping. Jin Hai, Tie Lin, and Xu Tian are three friends who are as close as brothers. In the face of historic changes and conflicting beliefs, they make choices that take them on diverging paths. Xu Tian and communist member Tian Dan meet during their lowest moments and find a common goal that brings them together.

Ruby and Runa are twin sisters, whose characters are the opposite of each other. Ruby is the good and loving girl whose fiancé is Gyeong Min while Runa is selfish and a gold-digger. They come to live each others' life after their faces were swapped by a car accident. Gyeong-min, who doesn't have any clue about this, faces a tragic fate, receiving love from both at the same time and In-soo, who is abandoned by his ex-girlfriend Runa, plans revenge to her.

Nanase (Tatsuya Ueda) runs a pawnshop in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. He is a genius appraiser able to distinguish fakes from originals. He gets pretty much everything at his pawnshop. When clients come to his shop, Nanase appraises their items and also tries to solve their worries.

Wanvisa (Kim) pisses off a young mafia (Ananda), so he tries to get back at her. However, Wanvisa won't take the bullying. She gets back at him by putting him in embarrassing situations. They start exchanging blows, teasing and pranking each other. While they continue bickering, she saves his life many times coincidentally. Later she finds out that he is Parop, the heir of a rich household. He has been having bad luck and has had many life threatening accidents. A fortune teller tells his parent that he is in extreme bad luck; it may cost his life. The only way out is to find a girl who was born on a full moon Monday. This girl will be his lucky charm and will save his life. Upon finding out that Wanvisa was born on a full moon Monday, his parents try to wed them. However, the young tiger is too heavy-lipped to accept his feelings for her. As cupid works its way, Wanvisa starts to notice that things didn't happen accidentally, and the person behind the assassination attempts is somebody close to them.

Yoon Hyun Woo is a devoted, hard-working, and loyal secretary to the Jin family, which runs the lucrative Sunyang Group business empire.
