Lawyer KAM JO-JAN (Michael Tse) and Director of Public Prosecutions FONG TIN-LAM (Tavia Yeung) used to be cohabiting lovers, but ended up separating due to a failed marriage proposal. Fate has it when JO-JAN makes a job transition to take a position of Prosecutor, resulting in the two working under the same roof once again. With their distinctly different approaches in handling cases, plus the interference of a new secretary CHUK SHEUNG-YUET (Grace Wong), the already severe crisis in their relationship has been pushed to the edge to an unredeemable state. Though JO-JAN is still perturbed by the refusal of his marriage proposal, TIN-LAM actually has something rarely known to the others. On the other hand, an orphan KAM PO-TI (Sammy Leung), who was adopted by JO-JAN’s father KAM PO-CHEUNG (Benz Hui), and JO-JAN are as close as biological brothers. As a detective of the Criminal Investigation Department, PO-TI frequently cooperates with JO-JAN. During an operation, he gets to know an undercover detective NGAI MEI-SUN (Sharon Chan). Though the pair are completely incompatible with each other, they do acquire the other's strengths to offset their own deficiencies. Furthermore, PO-TI initiates to pursue MEI-SUN regardless of his own lot or the fact she has already a fiancé. As each of them is hesitating over their future, a murder case involving a wealthy businesswoman PONG TIT-SUM (Alice Chan) makes them go through an arduous and fierce journey all together.

Teri Behisi narrates the story of a woman whose trust in her family members escalates into hatred after an incident where she realizes her worth. Nighat is a young woman who lives with her father and two younger brothers, Kashan and Zayir. After the death of her mother, Nighat chooses to value her family and trusts them with good intentions. Upon Kashan's insistence, Nighat's father manages to fix the wedding of Nighat and Kashan in the same house however on the wedding day an unexpected incident leaves Nighat in shock. Her trust and assurance in her father break when her father refuses to stand by her side. This incident causes Nighat to change her viewpoint completely as she realizes that even her own family members don't stand with her. Nighat's hatred soon channels out in the wrong direction and one of the main victims of Nighat's such behavior becomes Kashan's wife, Zara. Being the eldest amongst her siblings, Nighat chooses to take over the responsibility of her father's school business which makes her even more dominant. Things once again take an ugly turn when Zayir goes against her elder sister and decides to marry Zara's younger sister, Soham. This ignites even more hatred in Nighat and she refuses to spare anyone. Nighat's pattern of torturing people who never caused her any harm disrupts many lives. After Nighat's life long aggression and resentment towards the innocent people, will she realize her mistake? Will those around her make an effort to change Nighat's attitude? Will Nighat develop a soft corner for others after she reconnects with her past?

Ando Natsu, whose dream is to become a patissiere, finds herself jobless after the shop owner’s sudden death. She goes to Tokyo in search of another job at a confectionery but the recruiting period has just ended and there are no available positions. This is when she makes her first encounter with the well-established Japanese confectionery "Mangetsudo". It is run by the veteran confectioner Umekichi, Takezo, and Mitsuko, and they happened to be looking for a part-time worker. A number of chance events follow and Natsu starts working at Mangetsudo. Although her job is to serve customers, Natsu becomes interested in the world of Japanese confection. Having only worked in cake shops, everything is new to her and she is gradually drawn into the deepness and profoundness of Japanese confection.

A murder case occurs in Woojin, a town blessed with no crime. Detective Oh Jin Seong, known for being cheerful, joins the investigation team when his younger brother Jin Woo is identified as a suspect in a murder case. Jin Woo is eventually cleared of false accusations, and the culprit is revealed. Jin Seong's performance earns him preferential treatment at the Gangnam Police station, but his brother is suddenly attacked by someone on a rainy night and dies unexpectedly. Jin Seong starts chasing after the true culprit of the murder case while facing his own family's desires and secrets.
