Wu Yi is a little boy who has lost his parents but lives a warm and happy life with his aunt Wu Jiao Jiao who runs a martial arts hall. His uncle, domineering president Qi Mo, wants his father to meet his only grandson and so he begins a custody battle with Wu Jiao Jiao, who is a passionate young woman that will not give up easily.

The story took place at West Side High School, during a time when the Jianghu was still the goods against the evils. For the two legendary martial art books which is hidden in 4 different schools, both of the groups uses all their power to get it. The ones who gets it will have the power to rule over Jianghu. People from all over the place whether it's male or female gathered together to search for it. Amongst the students of West Side, Linghu Cong is the most powerful. A person who doesn't care about fame and wealth, who just wanted to be with his Lu Jian Ning. Meanwhile, he slowly develops a friendship with Ren Yin Ying, the seemingly-cold daughter of leaders of the Evil Clan. Later on Guo Jing has caught up to him in martial art and also develop feelings for Lu Jian Ning. Because of saving someone, he lost all his internal power. In the end he learned "Gudu Swordfight" and "Yijingjing".

Executioner Yip Sheung-luk has shed blood too many times to count. To protect his savior’s pregnant daughter-in-law Yuen So-sam from danger, Sheung-luk sends So-sam to the capital, where she is to stay with renowned midwife Fa Yui-hung. A series of strange murders soon take place, and Sheung-luk saves a little life with his blade. But this baby boy of unknown origin gets Sheung-luk and Yui-hung in trouble with the imperial court. Step by step, the unlikely duo overcome obstacles together, developing a close relationship. Kyonosuke Kawamura is the successor to the prestigious Kishima family. He performs as a kabuki stage actor. One day, as he is leaving the theater, Kyonosuke Kawamura hears cheers from girls who are waiting for him. There, Ayame Chiba, who also attends the same high school, approaches him and shouts out "that is not Kagamijishi and I want my money back!"

Due to excessive expectation as the successor of the Kishima family, Kyonosuke becomes sick and tired of kabuki. He plays with best friend Haruhiko Sakamoto and female fans until late into the night. When he arrives back home, his father Yozaemon, who is a master in kabuki, scolds him. An argument ensues. Yozaemon has never acknowledged Kyonosuke's efforts. That is a big reason why Kyonosuke has become estranged from kabuki. He also can't forgive his father for always placing kabuki as his first priority. His father did not show up when his mother became gravely ill and died.

Kyonosuke then meets Ayame at school. She again complains about his performance. Kyonosuke also learns that Ayame has a favorite actor. He's embarrassed by her complaints. For his next performance, Kyonosuke shows up practice, but he is chewed out by his instructor Matsukichi. Others, including Shohei Sawayama, watch this and make fun of Kyonosuke behind his back. Kyonosuke also hears from his rival Ichiya Sawayama that he was shocked at his performance. Kyonosuke feels numb.
