In a war against the Evil, the White Force and the Black Force have a Golden Seal Battle every five years. Each force selects five people to represent its community. Whichever side wins the battle has control of the Wu Xia World for the next five years. However, over the years, the Black Force have become more evil than before, and their goal evolved to destroy all the Good to allow the Evil power to control the world. The head of the White Force is the Flying Fish Village led by Shum Shing-Nam (David Chiang). In the White Force, the five people who were supposed to represent the community were secretly killed, and hence the series "Face to Fate" begins. In order to participate in the next Golden Seal Battle, the White Force has to look for five more talented people to fight the Black Force. Li Bo-Yee (Frankie Lam), the physic; Lai Yuek-Yee (Raymond Lam), the doctor; and Yip Mung-Sik (Tavia Yeung), are on the mission to look for five talented fighters. Through their mission, many circumstances led to obstacles into their mission such as Lai Yuek-Yee possess a deadly disease that makes him age prematurely, Mung-Sik is the daughter of a demon of the Black Force, etc. As the story progresses, the three do find five more people to battle. Unfortunately, one of them is killed, forcing Li Bo-Yee to replace him. Meanwhile, Lai Leuk-Yee meets the love of his life, Yin Ye-Loi (Selena Li), who also has a secret identity. Because of this secret identity, the White Force does not like Yin Ye-Loi. One of the White Force attacks Ye-Loi, causing Lai Leuk-Yee to join the Black Force...

Lam Ka Tung is a very very smart man.He is a worldly man,having travelled everywhere since he was 14.So he was a knowledgeable man.And he loved life to the fullest and women too.And it just so happens he fell in love with Chan Miu Ying,the daughter of a local doctor but the girl just despised him.But as fate would have it,they were not meant to be.You see,Lam Ka tung in all his previous lives was a monk.The previous life to the present one,he was a very respected monk who died to make several thieves realise the errors of their ways.So he was a very noble man.And he made a promise that he would never become Buddha until the day all human hardships are overcome.Well this life,Lam Ka Tung the only son of a well off family never imagined himself being so noble.But along the way,he met a famed Monk that lives in his big sack(thus the title,Bou Doi Wo Seung) who told him this his destiny is to be a monk.He didn’t believed that,almost died 3 times and along the way even met the King(cheung Siu Fai) and his spoilt sister(Tong Ying Ying) and mother.But when something horrible happened to Chan Miu Ying,who by now became a ghost ,he had to become a monk in exchange for a chance for her to stay on earth to realise her dreams of helping her father.So actually he became a monk for quite a noble but not so right reasons.Along the way,his mission is to find the seven elements of human sufferings,and he was christenes ‘Shuet but dak’,meaning,Speak No More.Why?I dunno.Anyway,he had to find the seven ‘But Dak’s’ before he can cease to be a monk and marry Chan niu Ying who will be promised a chance to become human again.So he found his disciple,Lau Yoke Chui who became ‘Tam But Dak’ meaning Greed No More.Well,she was greedy,she loved money and the only reason she became a monk is because she was promised that she’ll see her husband (Marco Ngai) again if she followed Lam in the journey of self discovery.Along the way,they investigated weird cases that seemed out of this world but actually isn’t and they came to realise that there is a greater purpose in life than just love and love and love.

Stage play actor KAN SIU NAM (Adam Cheng) went through a huge personality change after his daughter went missing for several years and ends up divorcing his wife MOK LAI HING (Rebecca Chan). Although D.I.E had been dissolved and the officers returned to their previous departments, their odd habits continue to follow them, resulting in many troubles for the police force. The senior staff decide to bring the D.I.E back, this time headed by Lo Sir, Yue Sir's former supervisor. Yue Sir and Jing Jing have a baby boy and Jing jing returns to work after trying to be a housewife to no avail. Initially working with the homicide unit again, she is still always chasing Dai-Hau-Ying, and after several incidents is sent back to D.I.E. Ying seems to have become less evil than before, but Jing jing continues to attempt arrest, much to the chagrin of her supervisors. Lo Sir's daughter Lo Pak Chi admires Jing jing and follow her into D.I.E. Yue Sir's father and sister left Hong Kong, leaving Zheng-Yee alone and he gradually develops an affection for Pui pui, Jing Jing's younger sister. Together the two face breakups, illness, attacks, and Pui pui's rise to fame as she becomes a celebrity-dancer-model in Kam Ji Fung's entertainment company.
