The story takes place during the reign of the Ryukyu Kingdom (19th Century). Nakama plays Mazuru, a young woman who wants to complete her studies despite her gender restrictions, so she takes advantage of the disappearance of her step brother and disguises herself as an Eunuch named Son Neion, and passes the exam to be a royal govenrment's official. This is her first time having to play both a male and female character. Her supporting cast includes Tanihara Shosuke as her lover and Takaoka Saki as her enemy.

The team is known as a grave for detectives and they are filled with expelled detectives. The actual members though are excellent detectives. They have conflicts with each other, but cooperate and solve difficult cases.

A newsreader who has a bright future was raped by a man and it made her get infected with HIV. She doesn't dare to tell anyone. Later, she meets and finds love with a messenger. People around them say that he doesn't deserve her and don't agree with their relationship, but he knows everything and accepts her.

A-Ze senses that something odd is going on in Changshui Village, and asks Zhao Yun to investigate the village together. Aided by A-Ze, Zhao Yun — who had always believed that all demons were evildoers, and less worthy than humans — comes to realize that humans can be even crueler and more rapacious than demons. After the events of Changshui Village, the two agree to travel to Mount Qingyuan together.

The story continues from the previous season. After the capable constable Shen Jun Ye got a promotion and came to the capital, she worked for Li Cheng Qi, the commander of the detective department, and together they solved many unsolved cases. However, she unexpectedly found that Li Cheng Qi was disguised by her missing fiancé, Lu Xiao Bai.
