Plerng (played by Mario Maurer), is the only son of Pipat and Pongpaew, who lives in Ranong and does fishing for a living. Pipat is actually the eldest son of Khun Ying Tongtraa Chatayothin, the owner of Thai Diamonds Company, or Phet Thai. Twenty years back, Pipat fell in love with Pongpaew, a poor woman who Khun Ying Tongtraa despised. Pipat was given two choices: stay with his mother or leave the house and go with Pongpaew. He chose option number two and lived a peaceful life in Ranong with his family. Until one day, Pipat’s mother got ill and he finally decide to visit her . But they got into accident in the way. Three organizations were in competition for a sword kept by Bu Liang Ren, a police agency loyal to the crown, that would unlock late Tang Dynasty's vast hidden treasure. The guardians of Li Xing Yu and Lu Lin Xuan were killed in one of the cross fires, but the kids were saved by Yang Shu Zi, the keeper of the sword, and taught to fight. One day, Yang Shu Zi disappeared and the kids went in search for him. Along the way, they were hunted by agents from the three organizations who intended to get hold of the sword through them.

A rich woman and former actress named Mrs. Li is losing her good looks and longs for passion with her husband, who is revealed to be having a love affair with his younger and more attractive masseuse. In order to boost her image, she seeks the help of Aunt Mei, a local chef. Mei cooks her some special dumplings which she claims to be effective for rejuvenation.
