A story that follows three generations of a modern day Chinese family living in the Hutongs of Beijing. Shicha Hai becoming a lively attraction has broken the peace that old man Zhuang Weitian has enjoyed in his years living at the Hutong. Furthermore, Tong Dawei's arrival and tendency to not bother with trifling matters is an affront to the old man's regard for rules and regulations. Dawei has one goal in mind - to get close to Zhuang Jing, the woman of his dreams. He tries to get on old man Zhuang's good side by studying tai chi under him and becoming his apprentice. Old man Zhuang's son Zhuang Zhiwei who has a stable job has been persistent in finding love again. However, his ex-wife's return has put a dent to his plans. His 3rd brother Zhuang Zhibin is the perfect example of someone who'd rather die than lose face. In trying to do good, he makes bad decisions and gets scammed in his investments. At the height of arguments, he is driven out of the house. On New Year's Eve, the epiphylla is in full bloom and every Beijing'er living dilgently in Shicha Hai welcomes the auspicious spring festival as a family.

Chiyomi, is a high school girl who was born and raised in a retro Showa-era shopping district in Shonan. She is a member of the basketball club and has a kind personality that stays cheerful despite her somewhat complicated family structure. She and Minami-kun, also known as Minami Hiroyuki, a basketball star from her hometown of Shonan, have been like siblings since childhood, and they are happily in a relationship. However, one day, he suddenly becomes 15cm in size and fits in the palm of her hand. Chiyomi begins living with him in his now tiny body.

This will be a remake of the televesion adaption of Tsui Hark’s classic Tsui Hark’s classic “Dragon Gate Inn”.

The play tells about the Ming dynasty's years, the eunuch's dictatorship, and the ruin of Zhongliang. In the rescue of Zhongliang, the knight Zhao Huai'an rushed to the east factory owner Wan Yulou and the western factory supervisor Yu Huatian. Fuenglada studies at a boarding school and her father lives with his new wife Soithong and stepdaughter Soisoun. One day on the way to see Fuenglada, her father had an accident with Taen's car and passes away. Taen is a rich widower with two children and lives with his brother Tai.
