Aspiring rock star Motokazu Hayato Ichihara fills in for his twin brother Kiichi at college, while he travels to Thailand. Motokazu works as a sushi chef, while playing his guitar in his free time. His brother however is more cerebral and majors in physics. Motokazu must now fill in for his absent brother while also trying to grasp the subject matter in class. Motokazu also chases after brainy babe Shiratori (Rio Matsumoto) and becomes friends with social misfit, but brilliant Saraka (Mitsuki Tanimura).

Su Mi and Su Yeon return home after an extended illness and hospital stay. Things have not been the same since their mother passed away. Their return is welcomed by Eun Joo, their stepmother. It's evident that Su Mi, the older and stronger of the two, isn't afraid to speak her mind when it comes to their family troubles. Su Yeon is timider and wary of their stepmother and looks to Su Mi for help. Hana no Ato is based on a short story by the late Shuhei Fujisawa (The Twilight Samurai, Love and Honor, et al.) The film stars Keiko Kitagawa as Ito, a member of a small clan in the Tohoku region. One day she meets a young swordsman of a lower social caste named Magoshiro (Shuntaro Miyao) and challenges him to a friendly duel with bamboo swords. Nie Yinniang is a short story written in Classical Chinese by Pei Xing, a Chinese writer who lived during the Tang dynasty. The story is set in 9th century China and tells the story of Nie Yinniang who was trained in martial arts from a young age. She is the daughter of Nie Feng, a general under Tian Ji'an, the ruler of the de facto independent fanzhen of Weibo.
