Sachi and Ayari become sisters all of a sudden when their parents remarry. The two of them have to live together after their newly wed parents set off immediately for an overseas trip. However, Sachi gets scared of Ayari who does not say much and gives her piercing looks. She is feeling very anxious about life under the same roof when they receive ham from their parents. Ayari briefly glances at a bewildered Sachi before she begins prepare the ham. This helps the two of them to start opening up to each other and their bond as sisters deepen through cooking.

The main character begins a dangerous journey of human against nature to find an antidote to save his master Shifu by traveling to a faraway land where he makes friends with a few key characters.

During the Zheng dynasty in the vast ocean of Novoland, the seeking for a magical pearl which could be only obtained from a young Naga girl tears’, caused the slaughter of the Merfolk. For this reason, Hai Shi lost her parents and her whole Yu coastal village. During Hai Shi's most critical moment she met Fang Zhu, the first official of the imperial court, Hai Shi then became Fang Zhu's disciple.

Not long after, Zheng dynasty's imperial court falls into a great chaos at the same time conflicts with other kingdoms start. Meanwhile the emperor Chu Zhong Xu seems to be unable to keep the order in his court and looks like a self-indulgent ruler. But the persistent support from Fang Zhu allows the nation to see a new time of peace.

Hai Shi then becomes the personal guard of the emperor and she starts to be interested in him, and some misunderstandings rise between them. When the emperor finds out that Hai Shi is a girl, he starts having feelings for her. Hai Shi will have to face her own feelings towards Fang Zhu and the emperor.

Gi Bbeum is in her early 20's and works at Fly High, Butterfly as an assistant intern. She works with three other assistant interns: Moo Yeol, Teacher Woo, and Soo Ri. Gi Bbeum works hard, but she has a hard time dealing with customers.

Gwang Soo is a hairstylist at Fly High Butterfly. He is enthusiastic at his job and he works with hair salon director Michel and hairstylist Jen.
