The drama tells the story of the life of Dae Jo-yeong, also known as the founder of the kingdom of Balhae. The drama is from the scriptwriter of Giant and Salaryman.

In 2009, Deng Cao Cao’s three year-old son is kidnapped. Her husband, Guan Hao blames her for being an irresponsible wife and mother and the couple file for divorce. Five year later, she is still struggling to survive on her own while searching for her missing child. She meets Gong Jian, an army veteran-turned-businessman, who helps her find her son and forms a close friendship with the mother-son duo. Cao Cao and Gong Jian start to slowly develop feelings for each other, but things start to get messy when Guan Hao comes back into the picture and Gong Jian’s mother shows up to stir even more trouble. Will a new marriage be able to happen, or will the ties of family and friends be severed forever?

The story takes place in northern China in early 1945 in a small town - Mission City. The story depicts its main characters during the Japanese invasion.

Homeless on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Hsiao Kang is robbed, beaten and left for dead; he is found and nursed by Rawang, an immigrant worker, who lives in the shell of a modernist building abandoned during construction. And so a triangle forms as a blanket of noxious fog settles on the city and everyone has trouble breathing. Simultaneously erotic and comical, the film underpins director Tsai`s deadpan allegory with hints of social realism.

Shintaro is a detective at the Kichijoji police station in Tokyo, Japan. Shintaro works with Yu Nagamine. In his personal life, Shintaro is married to Kaori and has three children. His wife is currently hospitalized. In the past, Shintaro's work as a detective was exemplary, but after his wife became ill his focus shifted to taking care of his family. Arrest ratings at his police station dropped because of this. Shintaro tries his best to balance work with taking care of his family, but it is difficult. Karoi's mother, Yoshie, then offers to take care of the kids.

Prot is a kind man who lost his memory. He is enlisted to continue acting as the heir of a wealthy family by Paron the real heir, to help find evidence of the betrayal going on inside and outside of the company. Although he is not used to being a hiso, he makes the best of it. Everyone adores him for being a good person while Naet, the fiancee of real Paron also begins to like him and their love begins to bloom.
