Taking place in both the present year 2017 and in the year 2037, when people believe that their future depends on humans controlling and regulating their emotions, this drama is a sci-fi mystery. When alien visitors arrive on Earth, humans learn new skills from them and take advantage of them; what ensues is a story of alliance, resistance, and love.

Each episode will contain two shorter stories, the first part set in 2017 and called “Beta Project,” with the second set in 2037 and called “Grand New World.”

A quiet residential area in Tokyo. Retired judge Kajima Isao and his family have a peaceful life until Takeuchi Shingo, an acquitted suspect in a murder trial that the judge once presided over, moves next door. Takeuchi smiles amiably, gives thoughtful presents, and even helps care for the elderly. He wins the Kajima family’s hearts with his exuberant good will. However, mysterious things keep happening around the Kajima house...

Lomdao is supposed to marry Balam, but she refuses, since she’s never met him and doesn’t know what he’s like. So she disguises herself as Fai Dam, the Balam's family’s new cook. Balam soon becomes suspicious of her and It’s just a matter of time before he discovers she’s his fiancée. Slowly, the two fall in love.

The drama focuses on 45-year-old Tsuboi Ryota, the coordinator of a large CM company who is receiving a request from one of their clients to change some parts of their new CM. However, he’s unable to really explain to the director what changes should be made exactly. At the same time, he receives a call from his older sister, who tells him that his father has collapsed while golfing in Nagano and that he was admitted to a local hospital. In a hurry, Ryouta decides to go to Nagano, his birthplace.

Tsuboi Ryota is a good man. Nobody can really hate him, which is why the coordinator between his company and their clients seems like the perfect job for him. However, he frequently finds himself stuck in a dilemma, whether that’s between his wife and his daughter, his older sister and their mother, or his family and work in general.

Adding some mysterious, almost fantastical elements to this family drama are Miyazaki as a puzzling young woman Ryota happens to meet at the hospital and Natsuyagi as his father who strongly believes in the existence of a tiny fairy-like race called the ‘Kuna’.

A devastating earthquake has occurred in Xichuan. Lawyer Luo Ben has gone to the disaster-stricken area to look for his younger sister Luo Yuan. It's there that he comes into contact with the rescue unit under the leadership of Captain Qing Shan. Luo Ben also encounters Zhan Yan with whom he's had bad blood with in the past. However, he soon changes his mind about her as he comes to admire her selflessness and brilliance as a doctor.

Luo Ben bears witness to the people's sense of camaraderie in the face of adversity and becomes deeply inspired by the volunteer efforts. Luo Ben along with Xiong Fei, Zhou Min Ming and Ding Ding Ding are the new recruits to the team. They survive Captain Qing Shan's "training from hell" and put their lives on the line in every rescue and disaster relief operation that pits them against earthquakes, fires, floods and typhoons. At the end of the day, they finally grow into an elite rescue unit.

Baralee, who is clumsy, starts feeling bored about being a beauty expert and wishes to be a spy. Her police friend supports her and helps her to apply to be a spy.

She can get through anything with her make-up bag while also meeting her perfect guy with smooth skin — hoping to win his heart.

A group of young urbanites search for love and romance, but the unique twist is that their characters have animalistic traits. Chu Zhi He who's a goodie two shoes and Wang Da Shu who has a personality that is rigid and sturdy like a tree learn to grow together as they fall in love. Like the show's namesake, animal behavior is quite representative of human nature. Take the giraffe and the squirrelfor example, they are a metaphor for two very different people who find a way to coexist.
