Kinpachi-sensei is the story of a 3rd year junior high school class in Japan; its teacher is Kinpachi Sakamoto (坂本金八 Sakamoto Kinpachi), played by Tetsuya Takeda. Kinpachi-sensei has a lot of social commentary on issues such as homosexuality, gender identity disorder, and psychological pregnancy--as well as bullying (of both students and teachers), teenage pregnancy, teenage suicide, hikikomori, and the extreme pressure to do well in school. The series began in 1979, a pivotal year when issues such as delinquency and on campus violence reached a fever-pitch amongst the educational spectrum; "Kinpachi Sensei," portrayed by former singer Tetsuya Takeda of Kaientai fame, attempts to resolve such problems using a blend of charisma, honesty, humor and wit. Over the span of 32 years, it has spawned 8 series. In 2001, the series helped to rocket Aya Ueto to greater national attention after she portrayed a student with gender identity disorder; Kinpachi made it his mission to teach the class about issues relating to gender identity so as to stop Ueto's character from feeling consistently alienated from his peers.

This drama is about the relationship between people. The drama begins with a question, ‘Couldn’t there be any decent relationship between a married man and a married woman in this world?” It is a melodrama touching your heart to deliver empathy, solace and thoughts about ultimate love to drama fans through the stories of the leading characters. Choi Soo Ah (Kim Ha Neul) works as an assistant purser at an airline. She has been working there for 12 years. Her husband is a pilot and they have a 12-years-old daughter. Choi Soo Ah thinks she is content with her life, but she meets Seo Do Woo (Lee Sang Yoon). Her life changes. Seo Do-Woo works as a part-time instructor in architecture. This drama tells the story of two male twins, Watit and Rut, who were separated from each other, leading completely different lives. One twin belongs to the high society in the big city while the other one leads a modest but good life in the countryside. When Watit, the twin from the big city gets hurt by someone, the father asks Rut, the other twin to take the life of his severely ill twin, leading a life under his name by pretending to be his unknown brother in hope to find the person who tried to kill his brother. The main heroine, Maytinee, is the bride-to-be of Watit. But their engagement is only based of a business deal and not of affection. When his brother replaces him, she doesn't notice the substitution at first and marries him anyway. But she gradually begins to realize that he is a different man, falling slow in love with his different attitude.

It tells the strange story of how a beautiful young girl, Choi Min Ah, turns into fried chicken because she happens to enter a mysterious machine. It follows Choi Sun Man, her father, and Go Baek Jung, an intern, who join efforts to turn her back to human and discover deep dark secrets in the process.
