First-year students draw lots to determine their peer mentors and, by a stroke of fate, Arm lands himself in the exclusive circle of "Perfect 10 Liners," a group comprising extraordinary students from various years, with Yipun as his second-year peer mentor. Yipun entrusts him with the formidable task of managing the Engineer Cute Boy page, a widely popular online platform. Despite his reluctance, Arm performs admirably as the page's administrator. In response to many fan requests, he uploads a photo of third-year civil engineering student Arc, unaware of the prohibition against doing so. Not knowing the admin's identity, Arc sends a harsh message demanding the photo's deletion. Detesting Arc's rudeness, he develops a dislike for Arc before learning that Arc is his third-year mentor. Despite his reservations, Arm finds himself interacting with Arc with some frequency, for mentorship and otherwise. What Arm doesn't know is that he's been let into Arc's inner circle because Arc was smitten with him at first sight. On his first day of university, disaster strikes Gun hard. Hapless as he is, Gun manages to break a bathroom faucet. Fortunately, a classmate comes to his rescue. Amidst the chaos, however, Gun doesn't get a look at his saviour's face, just catching a glimpse of their shoes. Eventually, he tracks the shoes to Faifa and expresses his gratitude. As they get to know each other, Gun realises it was actually Yotha, Faifa's older Irish twin who he should be thanking.

Eun Ho Won (Go Ah Sung) faces repeat rejections in her job search until despair drives her to attempt suicide. Thinking she has nothing to lose, she tackles her job and life with new perspectives. Seo Woo Jin (Ha Suk Jin) is her superior at work and considers her a pain in the neck. They become a bickering pair.

Otonashi Tsukiko has returned from New York, it seems. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) had set up a new unit called UIU (Unscientific incident Investigation Unit), and Tsukiko has returned from her assignment at the FBI to join this new unit.

Kawai Maria transfers to Totsuka High School after being expelled from her previous school. Upon entering the classroom and hearing the students gossip, she bluntly states that the reason for her expulsion was an act of violence against her former teacher. Nevertheless, Maria hopes for a fresh start. She manages to become close with two of her classmates after they hear her beautiful singing. One is Yusuke Kanda, who's kind and friendly to everyone on the outside, but inside isn't that way at all. He teaches her a "lovely spin" which should help her get along with others better, but it just makes her seem even more intimidating. Maria, apparently, isn't a "lovely spin" kind of a girl. The other is Shin Meguro. He is tall, dark-haired and always frowning. Coming from a family of musicians, he knew right away which song Maria was singing. Meguro is a returnee but Maria points out that because he lacks communication skills he doesn't really know how to speak English. Throughout the year Maria faces many problems, mainly relating to getting along with others but soon resolves it with the constant help of her friends and bluntness.
